Luke 11:27-32 KJV
(27) And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.
(28) But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
(29) And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.
(30) For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation.
(31) The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
(32) The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

The wisdom of hearing the word of God and not needing any proof. If you grew up on the word of God you might take it solely on faith. Yet faith comes from the hearing of the word of God. I asked God for a sign for my healing, because for some reason I was in a pit that I needed a faith booster to get out of the hole. Only putting me in another hole with needing proof. Last night as I was making a request to God, I came to a point I said Lord I need no signs, I just need it to take place. Sometimes the door we need opening we just need to happen, it not about needing a sign. Many of us hope for the coming of Christ, only to say we just need Him to return. It not about a sign but the will of God taking place. The Messiah coming effect many people with the will of God has come in the flesh and others is this the sign we are looking for. Could this be the Messiah. Those people not needing a sign but just needing to hear the word of God for themselves is much like the queen of Sheba seeking the wisdom of Solomon herself. She needed to see for herself. The word of God evidence surrounds everyday, with the light of day. Yet that is seldom enough evidence for a doubter. Nineveh repented at the hearing of the preaching of Jonah, both Sheba and Nineveh will rise up and condemn at the judgment those with no faith at the time of the Messiah.

The testimony handed down for some is not enough. Yet those needing a sign might never get another until the judgment. Then Sheba will judge that generation needing a sign, because she too had need to see for herself the things she heard about Solomon. Thomas the disciple of Jesus needed proof of the nail scarred hands to believe Jesus was alive, but upon seeing him, he needed no more evidence.

God knows what we need to increase our faith, we not to tell him. We only need to wait on His Word to provide it. Godly wisdom is not from a man but from God and provided to all His children. Seek not the sings but God’s word and claim it for yourself. Be not judge for the sign you needed, but for the faith you had because the Word was provided.

Dear Heavenly Father increase our faith to have godly wisdom of your word and not to seek evidence of your word. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
