When we think of God's destruction or wrath one might often think of total destruction and not particial or just the fall of one project so to speak. Have you ever built a sand castle? Did the project go well? How many were involved in the project of building of your sand castle? Now if it went well you and whoever have learned to work well together, if it went poorly it became one of discord and maybe the building of more then one castle. Maybe even the need for a bridge between the two castles to unite them once more or a marriage so to speak. Yet in one final swoop the waves from the ocean washed maybe the two castles away. God not pleased with discord or unity that made it possible for man to think he could reach God on their own merit and not by his means of his power.

Let say you have a phone, internet, and on the internet three or four programs, including an email in which people are able to make contact through to you. One you use for family and other for business purposes and so forth. Now let say the person you know contacts you through your business portal and not the normal means of communication. No biggy, but how many times will you put up with this. Depend on who it is. God got a business line called the word of God, and a direct line to his children called the Holy Spirit. Now the children of God can not access his Spirit until they receive the word of God and connect to him through the word which is Jesus. Trying to make a direct line to God yourself will not work.

The children of the earth decided to make a direct line to God themselves. They wanted to climb the tower to heaven like Jack was able to climb the bean stalk. The children of God had brick and mortar and knew how to build, but they could not reach God. Now those of us who are old enough to figure this out, the mountains do not even reach heaven, so if a tower was built to God how long would it take, and how many feet up would it have to be. Even if you started on a very high mountain which they did not they started in the plains. They had come from the East to the land of Shinar. Interesting isn't it, where is the east in relationship, I have to pull up a Bible map. However that not important, they were not building on the side of a mountain to reach God they were in flat level spot and how big, I do not know, but I thinking if I would build a tower to God, I would would climb the highest mountain and begin to build. Yet those that know that it hard to breath on top of high mountains because of oxygen level can change would never begin such a project. Yet these humans start at a flat level spot to build their tower. Perhaps they miss their mountains, or hills. Whatever human brain activity/concept started the building of the tower, it matter not they just wanted to reach God by their own merit. Prehaps God seem larger then life, and they wanted to make a name for themselves, encase they were scatter abroad. Making a name with a central location in which to return to as a starting point of origin perhap. Yet this name had nothing to do with faith only destruction. For even they feared being scatter apart.

God comes down from heaven with the angels and looks at the work being done on this tower to reach him. And in noway is God pleased because they took the one gift of language being the same to build a way to connect to God. The way to connect to God was already given to the people by God. They were trying to make their own way and not trust in the way of God. I asked earlier if you ever built a sand castle, then I ask if someone help you build it and if you got along with the person while building the castle. Well God is building a place for man by his own hands and not the hands of the people. God wants to be in charge of the way he builds us up and designs our home. However man wanted to be the construction boss. How many bosses do you think where on the project of the Plains of Shinar? I will tell you what I think, God did have to do much confusion, because they were already confused at who was in charge. However scripture only implies God sent confusion among them by confusing their languages. Now you got people of multiple languages not understanding each other and going off and building a city of their own. Now I suspect that some said God did not like the tower we tried to build as a group of people so they must be wrong over in the next village, let us build a tower to God hear and built idols and statues of what they thought God should or would be like. God not pleased with this either and turned them over to their sin and the lust of their flesh for the purpose of destruction.

Now I want you think for a moment in the history of the anointing of King Saul. He was chosen king by the people because Israel wanted a king like everyone else and God gave them a king because they desired one, but he also gave them a strong warning about their choice and how it was not His choice for them to have a king. The consequences of not doing it God's way, is not to have a ruler that is of God. To build tower to God, meant their was another ruler in charge that was not God. God himself did not ordain or instruct man on how to build this tower they were building in the plains of Shinar.

God's way of building is not man's way of building. He takes his word and it is the foundation of the building, the chief corner stone and his name is Jesus. Then you have the Holy Spirit who lays the mortar and blocks by God the Father. His Spirit moving to and fro on the earth speaking to his people, and gathering people to the word of God, by the planting and sowing of the word of God. You do not need a tower to reach God only faith in God and trust in him to know the sender and messenger of the message that goes directly to him. Trust me in the middle of storm you find that the messenger and sender is faster then typing an email and sending it around the world to a neighbor. Holy Spirit speaks what our heart speaks and our heart speaks to God about all things in our life. Our prayers coming straight from our heart by the Spirit to God, who sends it straight to the Father and the Son. God the Father sends his word back and speaks our hope and desires back that he going grant and deliver and even speaks those things we wish not to hear.

Those without faith no not what the people of faith already know, the power of God to change lives, to mold lives, to build lives and even tear out the evil or things of destruction from their life. When there is nothing but evil left in a person not of faith, then destruction comes to that life that never repents and never knew God, because they refused to heed the word of God. Apparently there was a warning about being scatter to the children of the earth, but man still wanted to build this tower to God. As long as they could communicate they could build the tower to God, but without the ability to speak, it never could get built.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for being the builder of our lives, to transform the believers life, to a life of hope and not destruction. Help us to trust in your building plan and the building plan of man. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
