Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Luke 19:41-44 KJV
41 And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
42 Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

Jesus cried for those that were in Jerusalem for they understood not what was to come. This passage comes after the Triumphal Entry in Luke. I spent two mornings looking for it and could not find it and this morning it was right in front of me. If you not already familiar with your Bible and are still learning it, there be a day when you will remember a passage and you will not be able to find it. The only thing you can remember is the story of the passage. Many of us who are saved are watching the world as we know it and wondering about these events coming upon us and no clue what it means in regards to end times for certain. We can understand horrible events are occuring, we can understand how it effecting our nation and nations around the world. Yet what we do not understand if this is only the begining of major warnings in our nation or only a warning that might just be gone in a few months. See we know the globe has been experiencing pains as if in child birth. The turmoil of pain of child birth of feeling each contraction before the new birth. Each contraction represented by each disaster and more coming quickly behind the other before the final push for a new birth. What we have is a new baby coming from the womb finding the brilliant light outside the encloser of the womb after a flood of fluid with in that surround that child for nine months for nesting and feeding purposes.

Birth is a process and yet it comes with pain, and agony before the final break through. Each contraction brings tears and screams of torment. Yet when it over there is pure joy. Jesus was weeping because he knew the agony and pain he would feel going to the cross, but it was nothing that his enemies would not feel after the resurrection for they would be destroyed and a trench would be cast around them and they would die for their sin. During World War II the persecution of the Jews were tremendous. They were lead to the gas chambers the pits of slaughter from rifles and the horrible act of murder took place on a people because of who they were. Yet persecution of Jews began at the time of the destruction of the Temple. It continues today because of hate toward a people who knew not the time of visitation of our Lord. It is not for us to judge a people who God declared would be blinded to who Jesus was. It is our place to explain who Jesus is. To help with the blinders of faith to be unshackled by teaching truth. Yet Jesus knew his people would be persecuted for their blindness. Jesus wept for the people caught in blindness that could not see or understand. Ever wonder why God allowed it. Because these people believed their leaders faithfully and trust in those that lead and taught them in the temple. They were faithful to God by legalism and control. Pharoah had blinders but his blindness was caused by sin. The Jewish blindness came at a time, they were no longer in exile, and in a state of where temple been rebuild and restablished for the people of Israel. Continual uprising of fundmental Jewish people so much so, that any conflict or even peaceful uprising was frowned upon. Jesus' uprising was peaceful, but the leaders want to destroy Jesus in fear of Rome would want to destroy them. Rome would seek to destroy them, but at first they glorified the Jews and persecuted the church.

I want to look at Revelations I talk about the tombs on the day of Christ death a resurrection of the saints. Now I want to look at a number 144,000 had the mark of the Father on their forehead. If we examine Revelations, I think it chapter seven the 144,000 were Jews, and number of gentiles was unrecordable. Now Jesus is standing with 144,000 Jews, is this at the time of Christ return or before the ascent into heaven. I believe this is where Mary at the tomb wanted to touch Christ and was told not too, for he had not ascended to the Father. He was taking God's people home that were marked. These were those that had risen as testimony of the power God. In other words Jesus being the word stood in the flesh, these saints were those that believed in the Messiah coming and had not seen him but believed in God and his word, these that were set free from captivity spoke in Ephesians 4. These were those out of the tomb spoken about in Matthew 27, that walked into Jerusalem. Where was everyone when this happen fear took place an people hide.

The persecuted Jews were not believers in the Messiah but in God's word in regards to Old Testament scripture with blindness of faith of not knowing their Messiah had come. Those are the ones that people killed during the holocaust and still try and kill today. The Jewish people obey God's word with blinders and so we teach about the Messiah is so all might believe.

With the celebration of Easter let us be reminded that those that believe not in the Messiah, understand not who He is. Their blindness is for our benefit.(Romans 11) for we were once alienated from God. Without Christ teaching us we would of not known who he was or why we should have faith in Jesus. The Jews were God's orignal people that worshipped him and obeyed him. Yet they to fall short of the glory of God like all believers do. God is call all to repentance, not just gentile or Jew but both. He calling all people to believe, not just Jew but Gentile too.

We can not change what has happened in the world in the past, but we can change what is happening here today in world, as the enemy tries to destoy the saints let Christ arise. As the enemy forces God's people from their churches over a cold, we will continue to worship in our home and bubble cars for our healths protection. This are not at war with our country but with the devil, for God did not event this virus, so have faith in God and Christ. Let us praise the Lord with our families. There is no days off from worshipping or having faith in Jesus. Faith is a journey that continues on. Jesus was in pain by the persecution of his people. God declare his people to be his people but did not stop any from coming to him by faith at any time during Jewish reign or Christian faith.

We have something happening in our nation called a virus that is sweeping our land that was started by man, and it can either destroy us or we can have faith in God knowing Christ is returning, and there will be a day of resurrection of the saints of Christ. Our hope is not gone and hope for the blinders to be removed is still a needed prayer for all people. That we all see who Christ is.

Dear Heavenly Father, move the blinders off your people first and use your people to remove the blinders of those that know the Messiah came and will come again. Hold us in your embrace, to enable us to stand against he enemy. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Revelation 14:1-5 KJV
1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.
2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:
3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.
4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.
