Man desire to control one’s own environment and one’s life is probably the most important thing to those in search of tranquility in this world. No person can control another person reaction. Yet the reaction of another might be guessed at or understood. A certain law of human nature implies that if you smile, someone will smile back. Yet the conditioning says it does not happen every time. The fact one cannot control another person is probably the greatest challenge of our world’s terrorist groups. Our human nature to be free is seen from our likes to our dislikes. Yet when a person looks outside and they see the rain pouring from heaven before going to work there first thought is probably not thank you God for the rain. In fact it is more like can you turn the spigot off Lord until I get to my vehicle and then into the building, Can you turn off the lightening storm before the power goes out and Can you turn that humidity down for just a day. Seldom unless there is drought does one think let it rain. Our world become so citified that even farmers have to keep up with not only the technology of this world, but also their crops. The need for rain and drought based on what a plants needs, can only be controlled somewhat by irrigation. Yet too much water the plants rot.

God asked Job about natural forces that he had no power over to control. God wanted to know who Job thought controlled these things. One might get the idea God was telling Job I too busy to deal with your whining today. Yet God in his greatness speaks to Job with questions and not answers at first. Job had been asking a lot of question with getting poor feed back from friends, though some were lengthy in speech. His friends’ responses did not fit his problem. How many on social media have many responses from friends yet none of them fit the problem of the day, or the solution for the months ahead? Yet it gives a different respective on the world around of the thoughts that enter upon seeing things posted. Yet the only response that is truly important is God’s? No I think the comfort of Job’s friends was much needed as he faced trial of feeling and hearing first the silence of God and then the voice of God. Something friends do is to allow a person to know they are there. God almost saying to Job you going to hear me question you the way you question me. Yet no doubt God knows Job knows God is creator, and Lord over the universe. There is no question of Job knowledge of who God is for he was a righteous man.

Job found himself in distress searching for relief of his sores, sadness and hardship he was facing. To him his condition was not justifiable because he believed in a loving God. What happens when you believe in a loving God and your worlds in chaos and in truth you were not living in sin. It truly must either be test of God or Satan. Are you as righteous as the day before the testing?

God was asking Job of who controls creation, and all of God’s handiworks. Even about who placed the zodiac in the sky and so forth, with speaking of the stars in the sky and seasons? One cannot understand fully God’s knowledge or power. Yet it is the simple things that God controls to make our life better and to aid us in our human knowledge of the seasons and weather they we find ourselves in simply awe of God. It one thing when a person feels they deserve there lot in life and something else when there lot in life is chosen by their circumstances. God is still in control. Man is able to duplicate the lightening with a light bulb. Yet man’s duplication is not his power to control the universe. How Ben Franklin must of felt as that lightening rushed down the wire of his kite for the first time. Yet there is technology out there that says that some of this had been produced before elsewhere in another civilization called Egypt with the Baghdad battery. God’s wisdom through out the ages is great and man’s desire to duplicate is stronger, yet even with science technology no one can control our environment completely, but God. Man is able to observe the process of clumping of the earth to form land, but not able to control these things to make our environment necessarily better. There is a reason for changes in universe, it adaptation of man’s technology and destruction of our environment. Some things stand the test of time and other things passing way so swiftly. Who feeds a lion? Or decides on the extinction of animal? Does God use these extinctions to make man realize the harm they do to their world.

God response is showing Job his worldview of things he does that man takes little notice and yet willing to complain about what they can do something about. Job had a reason to grumble but he was depressed not ready to stand up and solve his issues. The sores caused him to be outcast in society until they cleared up. Yet Job’s friends remained. And God was about his business while Job was asking God why? God was allowing this time testing by his enemy for a purpose. Had Job righteousness made him like a God to where God decide Job need understanding or humility before him? God was Job’s God even in the bad times, even when the devil tried to place a snare in his life for him to fail. God was not going to allow the devil power but so long. Job need to know God was still in control of the universe despite it felt beat up by the world around him.

No matter where you are in life you can count on God ability and power to control and that whatever you are facing God is till in control, but he does not always remove obstacles caused by others or ourselves. He will however take you through it. After all God even sees the suffering of his animals in need of food. Are we going to worship God even if he does not remove the problem?

Dear Heavenly Father give us strength to help us through the day remember you are always in control even when bad things are happening. If you choose not to remove the problem you help us through it. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
