God's Knowledge

Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris

Job 38:19-24 KJV
(19) Where is the way where light dwelleth? and as for darkness, where is the place thereof,
(20) That thou shouldest take it to the bound thereof, and that thou shouldest know the paths to the house thereof?
(21) Knowest thou it, because thou wast then born? or because the number of thy days is great?
(22) Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,
(23) Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?
(24) By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth?

Godís Knowledge is a continuation from Friday. God in his wisdom knows where light lives and where darkness abides. Science may be able to teach how light reflects and how gases produce heat but it cannot tell you were light necessarily abides. The Sun is in outer space, the moon is too. Two objects that help illuminate the earth. Yet the moon and stars were not created until the fourth day, yet there was light and darkness on the first day of creation. Actually darkness was before there was light. There was also separation of light and dark before the stars and moon became on the fourth day. The moon and stars were for the changing of the seasons to tell the time of the year. To understand the creation of light is like man putting a light bulb in the socket and turning it on for the first time in a house. One knows where the power comes from to turn on the lights. It came with the ability for man to turn on a switch, yet the actual power came from the power company who produces electrical juice in the lines that goes through the power box of the house to the light bulb. God said let there be light and it was. God knows where light began and how it would end. After all God is said to be a continual light unto the city of the New Jerusalem, where there will be no night. Some cities today never turn off the lights, but in truth even with lights there is darkness. Darkness represents the opposite of light. Yet the darkness that surrounded God in the beginning was not evil.

There are many different interpretations about the light in the beginning being more then just about creation, yet I tend to disagree with some interpretations not because it does not have a point of truth, because sometimes I think people are looking to hard for evidence that can not be understood about the creation of good and evil. Where did the thought of light come from if God is all knowing? If I draw a picture and I choose my light to be pink instead of white, does it make it less light, only in Godís world and not mine. The fancy of our minds cannot explain how light came to be. Would we have rationalize the creation of light ourselves? God created light by his word. It came from His word, and his own design. Yet science can break down how heat and light is created from gases in our atmosphere. After all when we go into outer space there is darkness in all the images. How can the globe of the world be lit up and the universe be darkened? Are those in outer space on the opposite side of the earth that light shines is not on when they fly? Take a tennis ball and any lamp in a dark room, how much of that ball has light on it when in direct angle of the lamp. No one thinks about these things, we take it for granite unless one loves science. One has to remember when they hold up that tennis ball that there are nine other tennis balls plus stars and moons. Where does light live? How does it become from point A to point B. It is the questions science and people who have too much time on their hands ask. Yet science has answers for these questions today, yet not all scientist understand where the power that makes the light comes from. After all someone had to turn on the switch to make everything move in motion. Godís word said let there be light and there was light. Light came from power by the action of the Spirit in motion by the command of the word of God. When one thinks of God word being sharper then any two-edge sword it takes something to propel sword in motion. Same with light the word alone nothing will happen but with the Spirit of God light became for the first time. Yet in Godís wisdom no one can explain how God came up with the idea of light. Our thought process is our own imagination, but does God imagine/in vision or does he just knows. After all God is all knowing. To have a thought or created idea does seem plausible, but God knows if it is. Does God still look at the clay of the earth and say I going to create a new creature today that the world has never seen, but I personally know exist if nothing more in my own thoughts. Nothing has been created that has not already been designed in Godís mind.

The human mind cannot grasp all knowing God. The things we learn come from books, and observation in life, as well as media, and other tools of modern learning. Before man had modern learning tools man passed information down, whether by some type of learning or it was instilled from birth. Whether something was a learned process of doing may be unclear. A cat gives birth to kittens, and never seen another cat give birth. It called instinct on knowing what to do when the kittens start being born. It not something learned, it something instilled in there nature. In our nature we are instilled with imperfection the ability to rebel by our sense of choice. Though we might understand that Godís way is best, our minds alone are allured by what we see that goes against Godís command. Eve was tempted by looking at the fruit, it was not only deception of the devil, but what she understood to be beautiful could not be wrong in her thinking, not understanding God knows what best. With Eveís own desire to try something beautiful she ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Actual tree is both spiritual and physically tree in the Garden of Eden. Spiritually meaning it is in direct disobedience to God. Eve was aware not to eat the fruit, but she had no conception of opposition. It just seemed right to eat it. No thought beyond that point that God said no.

Our understanding of right and wrong happens when? It is not a learned thought, yet it comes when disobedience hurts oneself and not before. Someone that sells drugs will never know how evil it is until they lose someone close to them due to drugs that they sell. Family member might be aware, but the root of the cause of the crime is never fully realized. Every time a doctor writes out a prescription for painkillers and another doctor writes the same prescription for that medicine there is not anway two necessarily knew the other wrote it. The only way to know is through drug testing. Yet government is now putting safe guards for doctors liability through technology, and networking with computers. Why does a doctor need to know what you are taking so they do not kill you with what else they give you. How many doctors have probably felt the sting of a death of a dishonest patient? Doctors are not God but no doubt they would enjoy being all seeing for day. Drug lords act like the devil when pushing their products and care not how many combinations of drugs might kill you. There will be another junkie wanting drugs on the street by morning, so what do they care.

If snow being a treasure and hail also being a treasure, one is more rare then another. These two treasures that fall one in abundance and one on rare occasions. The abundance of gold verses the abundance of diamonds. Both consider treasure but one more easily found then another. One cannot change the value of good or good intentions. Both equal in value, but one has different consequences, especially if one ask a person hit in the head with falling snow verses a piece of hail. Godís treasure of ice and snow is for a purpose. Hail is better in war, but snow can stop battle in a blizzard.

Value of technology verses the value of instinct should only be used for the benefits of good. God uses his technology for good and to destroy evil, but man takes those things God creates to destroy evil and uses it for more evil. Put twenty dollars on a counter and see how many honest employees there is. Some will pocketed the money and others will lay it on the bossís desk. Point is it weeds out the good and that bad, but twenty dollars is not evil by itself, only by the action that person that takes it. A stick of wood can be used for firewood or to beat someone to death. God never attend evil to be used by his creation, only good. Yet all knowing God prepared for evil by creating a devil to take the blame for evil intent and action. Yet the responsibility still lies on the one that does evil.

Point this morning the knowledge of God is far greater there our minds and the creation of light is more then just turning on a switch on the wall, but understanding the power of light verses the power of darkness of good and evil, as well as actual creation of light. Dark exist where no light was found. What point in our own knowledge did the conception of Godís light come to our understanding? We live in a darken world that understand that what pleases the eye must be good, yet Godís word is better. Our perception is of good and evil is learned and God perception always was. How great is our God in his understanding verses ours?

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for the vastness of your knowledge to desire good and not evil for your people. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
