Our Response What Will 9/24/2024
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisActs 9:1-6 KJV
1 And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,
2 And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.
3 And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.Saul a jew by birth, a Roman Soldier by choice, Jewish Priest by education, and persecuter of the church because of a lack of knowledge of who Christ is, finds himself blind asking Christ what will you have me do. God still prostaliting without men of Christian faith being used. One apostle Saul chosen, picked and lead by God after Christ himself lived. Yet he used Christians to instruct Saul a few days later after going blind.
The uniqueness of his conversion and his calling, caused Saul to running the race in faith before him. Are you so convince who Jesus is that you running forward in faith as Saul was caused to do? I remember my conversion at an early age of six or seven. I remember going forward to declare my salvation to my church. I knew from an early age I wanted to share Jesus with the world. With help of Jesus, I done just that.
Dear Heavenly Father, my you lead whoever you choose for your service, each call unique, but a calling by your Spirit be what will you have me do for Jesus. In Jesus precious name, Amen. Continual Scripture Study: Philippians 2:12-13 KJV
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. http://www.turtle30cshell.com
