Praying As A Warrior 9/19/2024
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisPsalm 9:1-20 KJV 1 To the chief Musician upon Muthlabben, A Psalm of David. I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.
2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
3 When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.
4 For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right.
5 Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.
6 O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them.
7 But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.
8 And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.
9 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
11 Sing praises to the LORD, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.
12 When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble.
13 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:
14 That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.
15 The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.
16 The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.
17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
18 For the needy shall not alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.
19 Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.
20 Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.Strength of the prophet Elijah often emulated the prayers of former King David. As one godly prophet took down the heathen forgetting there were many prophets who had not bowed to Baal. How many prayed in secret as the fire came down from heaven in the present of Elijah and baal prophets that watch Elijah have his own altars soaked with water. Power of prayer was being preformed with instruction from God being performed not with fear and trembling but obedience to Elijah's God.
David an equal prayer warrior, yet he was never king during the prophet Elijah day. King David ancestor king wicked Ahab was on the throne afraid of Jezebel the queen and her false prophets he chose over God. Never praying as His ancestor King David prayed. Nor his palace in Jerusalem.
David a warrior for God in his prayer life but also in battle. What does it truly mean to be a prayer warrior. Your ready to see strong hold of the enemy fall while God's people are praying in response to a spiritual and physical need of a nation, county, town, business, neighbors or family that should not be there, because evil corruption is reigning and not the power of Jesus or His Father reign on this area of life of friend, neighbor, county, nation or world. Remember you feel like your the war horse and you might be for that prayer but there others praying too. Our response to God comes by praying over every situation, through storms and revelations seeing the strong holds of Satan destroyed. Strong response of King David was to pray to God and that he did. He prayed for the defeat of enemy. He knew this was one will of God would honor so he could go humbly and boldly to God in prayer and see God win victoriously. He could pray with victory knowing it was the will of God. He knew poor and weak got trampled on til the time of victory over the enemy. He knew the enemy would not prevail. If the enemy of sin could and would be correct out of his own life it could be corrected out of his life as will as others. Yet David knew it did not happen over night. The enemy haf to be ensnared for judgment to come. The enemy will not fall until the trap is made. It the waiting on the storm for God's judgment to trap, destory and fall, knowing God's judgment will surely come. More people in place for victory from top leaders to prayer warriors down in the poor house praying in faith for the destuction of the enemy destroyed and day of God judgment to bring strong holds down. Who side are you on. Are you allowing the wick to prevail because it looks minor and not a serious of a threat. One act of minor evil leafs to big storms. I be honest I seen some storms that if solved and explained earlier never would of gotten as big as they become. You allow prayer and Bible out of school and now guns are in our schools. Christian left school because of it and left others behind never asking where the heart of each student seeing people of faith flee instead of standing guard with little Gospels walking everywhere. I was one of those little Gospels in public schools and became a heathen tobthe Christian world because not knowing how to cope with a problem that need prayer of prayer warriors who learn skills in public school from parents and teachers of faith. I needed instruction to show grace. Youth on my side then. Meaning my stumbling was found with grace from others. They were praying when I felt i could not. Remember Elijah ran but found how many prayer warriors/ prophets were still alive. We dont see the correction til the next chapter 7000 men that neither bow or kissed baal. If a child of God feel defeated he doesnt know the strong holds of God encompass them. Your not the only one or only one praying. Your journey in the field might not be Elijah or David but you are standing in the arms of God.
Dear Heavenly Father, give us the cry of the warrior David openning the eyes of Elijah in the battle field of those on the battle field of faith and the sight we not alone. In Jesus precious name, Amen. Continual Scripture Study: 1 Kings 18:25-37 KJV
25 And Elijah said unto the prophets of Baal, Choose you one bullock for yourselves, and dress it first; for ye are many; and call on the name of your gods, but put no fire under.
26 And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made.
27 And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked.
28 And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.
29 And it came to pass, when midday was past, and they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded.
30 And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down.
31 And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the LORD came, saying, Israel shall be thy name:
32 And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed.
33 And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood.
34 And he said, Do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time. And they did it the third time.
35 And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water.
36 And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word.
37 Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again.

18 Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him. http://www.turtle30cshell.com
