Rest Time
5/24/2024

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Psalm 23:2-3 KJV
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

God makes us rest but when we rest it be in green pastures. Plenty of nourishment for his sheep. And he leads us by the still water, not a babbling brook or a raging river. It a place of solitude not necessarily a place for our physical well-being but for soul. He restores our soul in the pathway of faith/righteousness for who sake. For his word and for his name God Jehovah. Think he putting his name on the line with promise of rest for our weary soul.

Time spoke about in Jeremiah in verse below concerning time of Christ. Where the word is taught there is sweet revival for the soul. A time where the very soul is satiated because of weariness and when one wakes the rest is sweet and the soul replenished.

Remember God cares for you, so cast your burdens down at the cross and find revivsl for your soul. Jesus asleep in the storm in a ship and his disciples went to Jesus the word of life and he calmed the water before him. Need rest get in the word it nourishes and calms the soul. Revival more then baptism of water time but nourishing time for the soul.

Dear Heavenly Father with Christ your living word at the helm our soul let us as believers to find the calmness and rest for our soul. In Jesus precious name, Amen

26 Upon this I awaked, and beheld; and my sleep was sweet unto me.

Luke 8:24 KJV
24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.
