turtle30cshell Daily Devotions For March 19, 2024
Ministered To Jesus
3/19/2024

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Luke 8:1-3 KJV
1 And it came to pass afterward, that he went throughout every city and village, preaching and shewing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God: and the twelve were with him,
2 And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,
3 And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.

When I read these few verse we see the woman with a role in Jesus ministry. Knowing Jesus feed the four and also the five thousand makes one wonder why they were ministering out if there own reserves. If Jesus could heal why did they share from there own resources. It more simple then we like to think. Jesus would not always be physically there and God still expects us to care for one another. Nothing wrong praying for impossibilities or seeking through prayer for things needed or desired.

The woman of faith minister to Jesus and disciples from their food reserve and supplies in donating to his ministry by meeting physical need of food/substance. His cause worth the sacrifice though they did not know they would see him hung on a cross.

Many woman have done what consider woman's work in ministry by just simple servanthood from tending the cooking fire to mending or repairing clothes. Making sure the meals were enough to feed those in ministry. A pot goes a long ways when feeding a crowd.

Sometimes the only way to help is to use what you help yourself with. A woman can tend to needs of a sick neighbor by cleaning their house or providing a warm meal. It can seem trivial with fast food around. One can order out and even have it delivered into many areas too. Yet it the care of someone else caring about one's need that can and does express the love of Jesus.

Many of us know how to do these things because we tend to ourselves or a family member in need. These women did travel with Jesus but gave back by serving Jesus with hat they had.

Do you love Jesus enough to reach our in love to your neighbor? What about someone you know outside your neighborhood? Take your limitations and say what can I do to help another? What can you do to help your church? How can you help with the ministry. Find a way to reach out to those in need and bear witness of who Jesus is. There two hands and two feet and anyone wirhout limbs you can still find a way to take the Gospel of Jesus by caring first for the workers and also for those in need. When you do these things you doing it for Jesus.

Dear Heavenly Father reminds us wirh Christ absent we still have a responsibility to give out of our substance because of our love for you. To minister those we are financially able to help. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Matthew 25:35-40 KJV
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.

Matthew 26:10-11 KJV
10 When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.
11 For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.
