Late Night Rant 6/26/2024
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisLuke 10:33-35 KJV
33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
34 And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. 35 And on the morrow when he departed, he took out two pence, and gave them to the host, and said unto him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.Taking today off. Nope, was going to but began writing this evening of the 25th. I decide after skimming many chapters of scripture, maybe it was time for a day off. Nope I just wrote a long rant. To explain the process of discovery of the unknown.
I am have some medical test done. Sometimes even with prayer we still need to see a doc. In general I am healthy. It that oops you need test because we found something that is a mystery to them. Doctors like those oddball finds. It keeps their field interesting. I like to say if you do not know what it is and it is not hurting leave it alone. However problem is, it is causing pain. They got two hypothesis and i only agree with one. I sure I will on time agree with more then one.
There is a point no one wants to hear a health rant any more then some want to hear about God at times. Why is it easier to ignore health and sometimes God. Is it a lack of care and concern? God knows all and so do I need to know all the answers or anyone else for that matter. We sometimes feel simple like the man that was beaten in need of the good Samaritan. We simply are not going to get entangled in other peoples lives and truth we do not want the yoke that pulls all the entanglements.
Is it enough not to say a word and say God cares for me that is enough. Or do we need compassion not just from God but human friendships. Allowing entanglements of others to give one a prayer request and two the ability to show compassion through minimum being prayer. Ignoring the man in the ditch only keeps you from being responsible for his care and his entanglements of the need of compassion. Jonah got angry when he preached to Nineveh because he preached not out of compassion but to see the town destroyed by God. There are times we want the judgment and not the healing. We fine ourselves sitting under the gourd in comfort to loose our shade to the heat of the sun on a dry hot hill with a scorching wind, while the city below has a banner of love covering it.
Dear Heavenly Father teach the compassion you have for the world and lead us into the peace of compassion even when we desire to want judgment or to ignor other's issues. In Jesus precious name, Amen. Continual Scripture Study: Jonah 4:6-11 KJV
6 And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd.
7 But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered.
8 And it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live.
9 And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death.
10 Then said the LORD, Thou hast had pity on the gourd, for the which thou hast not laboured, neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night:
11 And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?
Matthew 11:28-30 KJV
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Galatians 6:2 KJV
2 Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. http://www.turtle30cshell.com
