Genesis 9:8-17 KJV
8 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying,
9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;
10 And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

No matter what side of the planet you are from this one story of great flood that destroyed the earth exist. Huge floods exist today but none cover the entire earth. We do not know how advance society was during time of Noah before the flood but we do know after the flood man continued thrive and create. God desired to restore man to him started with a rainbow as testimony of God's covenant and blessing on man. He start with a man name Noah and his family, three sons and three wives.

This covenant would be for all future generations. This covenant did not and will not stop God's wrath coming in another way. God's wrath will come in times of tribulation. Yet water will never consume the earth. God's word was a vision of hope was to future generations. Yet as man failed in obediemce to God other things did bring warning of the consquence to come at the end of time. Warnings after events tgat said this to was God's punishment. Water would not punish the entire earth again. Remanent idea comes into being as things come pass in the world of sin. That God save those that were righeous and had the grace of God shining in their heart. Noah was a man that walked with God.(Genesis 6:8-9).

This relation God desires to have with man cause man upon reception through Christ Jesus to have hope eternal. Moses hope was eternal though his sin demonstrated he was not without correction on this earth. Moses seen in New Testament when Jesus talked to him and Elijah(Mark 9: 2-4). Salvation for eternity not lost.

With the days of Christ speaking yet more coming to the believer and yet our sin itself having consequences even after faith begins, we need allow God to guard our hearts through salvation through belief in Christ Jesus.

Salvation is not only a hope but knowing we not destine for the pit and eternal salvation if we continue in belief and obey his word. Hope restore and given from time of flood to tge testimony of God's word coming with Christ's birth through the cross and resurrection. We see the sealing of the door on the ark because Noah obey God's word and remnant coming forth from the ark. Covenant restored and sign giving. Each covenant given with a clear sign.

Dear Heavenly Father help us rest in your covenants and signs, including the testimony of the Holy Spirit coming first on the day of pentecost with hope and being a gift for each believers heart upon belief in him, in Jesus precious name, Amen.
