Father: Lesson 2 6/11/2024

1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:
2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.
5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.God visitation with Instruction for Abraham to leave his father's house and he would make Abraham into a great nation. God want to make his people into holy nation. Many people leave their father's home for a great adventure of their lives. When God calls people to separate he does it to make them into his desire of a holy person, nation a people to worship him. Abraham understood he would be a father of a great nation. We do not see Abraham leaving for religious reasons until we read Joshua and find out his father worshipped idols. When we find this out we then see a great call of separation of not just from his father but a culture of religious practice not related to the God he followed. If he followed and obeyed God he would become a great nation. God was also establish a spiritual covenant with him and this nation from his own loins would be called to be a holy nation.
Dear Heavenly Father you call us to be a holy nation unto you. It our choice to follow. In Jesus precious name Amen. Continual Scripture Study: Joshua 24:2-4 KJV

4 And I gave unto Isaac Jacob and Esau: and I gave unto Esau mount Seir, to possess it; but Jacob and his children went down into Egypt.
Exodus 19:4-6 KJV
4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.
5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
