Days Shorten 6/05/2024
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisMatthew 24:14-22 KJV
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. When we are young we want time to hurry and when we are old we will desire it to be slow to get things done. Some how being old seems to speed up the hours that simple task never get completed. It not laziness when your body slows done the task that took five minutes seem to take fifteen minutes or more.
Sad news my oldest cat mongo died. He passed way at home. He was fourteen, that is ninety in cat years. He is missed. I spent several hours comforting him and saying good bye. His final time we check to see him alive was when he kneading his paws as if to say its okay. There is a point not to make you cry but to know time often is often thought as finale. Yet when tribulation comes no one says grab the emergency bag or grab your shoes, that only happens if it a time of joy like a birth. Which is the fast way to travel from danger. Death and tribulation one can not run from but man will try. To escape a house fire with knowledge is same as being stuck with it. The time of knowledge maybe of smoke inhalation causing death with no way out. The time smoke hits the smoke detector is the sound that hopes gives you those seconds to escape. People trying to out or even out run a tidal wave has more of a chance then a person out running a tsunami. There are things at the end of time God's children will be a witness of but not harmed by anything. Yet we walk through fire, storms, survive wrecks all for God's will to be completed in our life.
Sometimes one finding a narrow escape comes not by testing or temptation but God's deliverence. That because God shorten the length of tribulation a sign of God's true mercy and grace.
Yesterday was watching a video of a quadreplegic using equipment to help him stand. standing is valuable to the human body and its function. Odds he will not walk again but reality the body is wonderfully made and the impossible can and does happen. He know doubt knows if tribulation comes his ability to survive without help is short lived. Those that can run like a gazel never are concern about escape.
Disease has very few limitations of who can get sick but we get through it to tell the tale of survival. God knows our human reaction of tgat need of self independence. Yet as a believer we to learn to follow Jesus because his word is true. We hear of danger that can not be escape then Lord will comfort the believer in their hour of need. Christ words in Matthew 24 was only comforting knowing these things must come even to those thay are saved. Is it more comforting having the knowledge God grace is sufficient in all we will face according to his will, that he be with us always and Three God will not forsake his children? Without knowledge of tribulation that it part of God's eternal plan for us that the believer will survive through tribulation or dying going to a place of safety for eternity. Either way rest in the Knowledge God is there for all that believe. Trust him and he will see you through, knowing the days are shorten for the believer but not the none believer. Matthew 24:21-22 KJV 21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.Dear Heavenly Father no matter what we will face, we know hard times do come, but your grace is sufficient for our needs. In Jesus precious name, Amen.Continual Scripture Study: 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 KJV
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
2 Corinthians 1:3-7 KJV
3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
6 And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.
7 And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation. http://www.turtle30cshell.com
