Matthew 24:1-14 KJV
1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

In the last 25 years I believe I am not the only one shaken by world events as a believer. When I say Christ will return but I know not the hour who thinks of the disciples wirh the door locked and Jesus appears to the disciples. What had the disciples experience seeing Jesus going to the cross. What about the earth quaking that very day with the sky darkening. All the begining of change. Who was prepared for the crucifixion or change. No doubt time with Jesus been not only learning but joyful one.

We look at rumors of war, tales of terriffic storms and wonder if time for Christ being now. Those that loose property and love ones are wondering is Christ coming, and others say who is Jesus? Jesus talked about sorrows and tribulation and the first sorrow with Christ death, no one understood he rise again. What the disciples witness was just a taste of what was coming. Third day after Christ resurrection their sorrow turned to pure joy and excitement. Christ had been prepared his disciples for his resurrection by his own words, resurrections in his ministry from a lad that was risen during a funeral march and Lazarus four days dead and was resurrected. The shock of Christ resurrection would not of been totally shocked.

After any storm there can be a shock or trauma aspect to what has happened. It matters not how we process coming events it matters what one believes about coming events. Fire and rescue wait for an alarm but no one prepares workers for actual events of disasters. Ever clean a house of a hoarder and the truth be told you do not know what they got until the house is completely clean. If the house had not been cleaned, there no way to til what disease are there. There a point no one is prepared for all that will come before Christ return. Yet we know much tribulation will come and the end is near. We know our heart that place things around the room must be cleansed by Jesus and prepared forcwhen He comes in person.

In John 16 Jesus tells his disciples he share these things wirh them to have peace. Only way to prepare for a disaster is plan for what may happen and have documentation, food, water for emergencies. Not least be sure that one is aware that all thrse things to come brings Christ back to our world we one need food or documentation because all believers will rise up and meet him in the sky. If your not Spiritual ready receive Christ today. Without faith in Jesus, you are relying only on self and people. That self might be physically ready but what about spiritual ready. Jesus can take you through a storm in peace. Remembee that peace is life long peace despite division in families, friendships and so forth. That one relation should be relation that with Jesus.

Dear Heavenly Father we do not know of sorrow and tribulation that will come but we know your hand is upon us as we wait for your return because of peace found only in you. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
