God's Price Has Not Changed
7/11/2024

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

1 Timothy 6:7-19 KJV
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
13 I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession;
14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

Why does increase wages never work if you are already sinking in debt or trying to change your income bracket to appear higher then it was last year. It is a farce because everything else increases including supplies to make a product one is selling means more out pay. That increases can cause some to sink like standing in quicksand with no known bottom in which to stop. Even with higher wages. We really should call it the greed index and even the wealthy agree it looks great on paper but reality is the market just become harder to live under.

What I bought five years ago is no longer affordable. when that happens and the majority of people are low income they look to see if they can get maybe a better career or a third job. When a gallon of ice cream looks like a price of a Tbone steak the reality is neither is bought. Less milk products sold means milk in general goes up and the milk not sold is now wasted helping no one. It the same with eggs. Yet people will still buy a percentage of eggs based on scambling and sunny sided up or down consumption being cheaper then the chicken that laid it.

Greed with need of pride to brag that the economy better but there is a lot of consumer waste. I am surprise Egg Mcmuffins did not got to ten dollars a piece in my area. I sure somewhere in the world Mcdonalds 99 cent menu has increased to the ten dollar menu. If it happen here in my area people would go home and rise up early to make their own biscuits. I seen Reese cup packages that use to have ten cups now only have four cups four almost the same price. Now I love Reese cups but I have not bought one since the last change to six in a package. Do you think I will buy a package of four. It would be, if I did, for someone else. There is a point if consumers could go on strike for a long enough period to see change then the prices would return the next day because of demand at the lower price went up. The need for greed for breakfast or desert came with crashing halt as price increased once more.

God's price has not changed. His price is the same for sin it is called love and forgiveness and Jesus paid for our sin and demonstrated his love with his life and God resurrected him for you and me. Cain was the first man without repentance, but he found mercy and grace of God when he did not kill him but marked him for his protection.

Economy whether it is good, bad or shows the ugliness of money will come and go but the the love God never changes. If we are going to build up a store house of faith it need to be freely shared and given to all that need to know about the love, mercy, and eternal hope. Build a store house that never empty of faith, hope, godliness, good works, and patience, for supply goes into our eternal hope. Why build up on greed of money whose currency changes with the shift of changing power. The reality is we can not change one price unless we start at the root of selfish love called greed and pride of greed. Yet the price love is paid for.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for sending your son to die on the cross for our sins changing the continual cost of sin through sacrifice. Teach us your love that is unending. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Ephesians 3:16-19 KJV
16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
