Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Romans 1:16-32 KJV
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

The rules in most school class rooms as follows: No gum chewing, no spitball fights, no note passing, raise your hand to request permission to speak, and obey your teacher. First day of class there were five known rule breakers. Each rule breaker receive the consequences for their actions. When God turned man over on the earth he told them to multiply. the rule of belief came with the consequences of disobedience. That how mankind land on this earth. As rules came for man's protection or another protection like Cain and Abel, God allowed disobedience with consequences. God still speaks protection to his people but man still choose corruption and evil ways.

Righteous comes with faith, obedience is a part of faith that can not remain in sin. Sin has no place in a believers life. The cost of a believers sin was paid for through faith in Christ Jesus. We continue go beat and crucify Christ in our disobedience.

I chose Romans 1 today because this one chapter speaks of our Creator decision to turn man over to their sin. He was not going to demand obedience on the world, but give them the choice of obedience. That freedom to believe to trust and receive God's word as one authority comes with the price of truth. Do not believe God then the consequence for unbelief first and sin will come. Choice of belief is of great reward.

Dear Heavenly Father teaches your truth of your word of the hope we have by believing in you first and obeying your way. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Hebrews 6:6 KJV
6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

1 Corinthians 7:20-24 KJV
20 Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.
21 Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather.
22 For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.
23 Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.
24 Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.

Colossians 3:4-8 KJV
4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
