Value Of A Person 7/01/2024
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisRomans 15:1-4 KJV
1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
2 Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. The idea the weak or less fortunate has no value is ludricious. The idea of liberty is for all Americans and all nations that agree with equality of humanity. Equality being equal value and not thought of one being greater or less. Yet in world where money rules, power is as importance as wealth being far greater value then poverty person with power. Power is what causes light switch to go off and on or perhaps the ability to achieve not necessarily with wealth. The power of wealth is the ability to buy your way out of any situation or to buy one's way into one's desired position. Allow wealth to controll a nation will take a nation into poverty. Yet seeing the value of all people despite status or power position is seeing all lives matter in making a nation great. With cov 19 the nation learned the value of the common worker as some grocery items availabity lessened. The stores and order availability changed. The era of prohibition show only two things money could still buy and the poor knew how to make hard liqueur commonly known as moonshine. How to get it to the buyer. Supply and demand beating the legal law to the point the law had to give in and moonshiners no longer had a buyer.
The law demand as a powerful authority unless proven more dangerous then the demand. The demand of sin has a power of its own with tbe enability to full ever win as long as God is ruling. Yet whether rich or poor when equality is desired by all, the law establish wins. When corruption rules by threats of the poor or money control by the rich alone the world becomes enslaved by wealth.
Christ taught equality. He cared not your status as he walked this earth, he was willing to heal if you believed he could. After Christ ascension the value of a person had to be taught about in the church. Paul teaches throughout his letters God was impartial. It matter not your station, ethnicity only whether you were a believer or not. Only division was belief. If I say to a body of believers that poor person that cant tithe, work within the church or outside the church, because he must not be blessed or have spiritual truth because their lack of achievement in life, think again. They maybe surviving solely on faith which has economic of faith value to the church. Faith in Christ has enabled the less fortunate to continue despite their situation to only be an underachiever in this world. Faith may of feed or taken them through the journey of life despite their misfortune. Elijah was feed by a raven and a widow woman who only had a morsel of food left. God blessed the widow woman because she gave to Elijah. David still a boy and not able to wear the king's armor and yet he killed Goliathe. David value being great because no one else would go against the giant. David mind knew from experience how to defeat someone or creature bigger then himself. Israel fear was the size of Goliathe without knowledge of how to defeat him. God had prepared David has he tended his father sheep for such an occasion. Israel weakness did not make them unuseful to God, only their lack of faith disrupted God's ability to use them. An ant and worms seems to have no value but there job of construction and tunnel building helps the soil. From ecosystem environment standpoint they have value. To say you dont need them you would need to find another way to do their job.
The church is made of ants, worms, Davids, a widow and people like Elijah. Every member of the body of Christ is important. In the world we live in evil doers are not so needed but their lessons have value. God wants to change the evil doer by drawing them to faith on him.
Things that effect our nation teaches us why laws are important. Why allowing equality with the same guidelines for all people being the same because it sets the standard of no one being lord or enslaver to another. Jesus taught to serve but to serve in a way to care for one another. To be unified not thinking ourselves more highly then another. Jesus taught to pray for the sick. As believers we need to see our brothers and sister value because they have a place on the Kongdom of God.
Dear Heavey Father help us to be excepting of other brothers and sisters of faith and to see your value of them in the church world. In Jesus precious name, Amen. Continual Scripture Study: 1 Corinthians 12:21-26 KJV
21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:
25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
