16 As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

The other day listening to blunder of a song though sung in the right place like a revenge movie against abuser or villian the song would have fit. The song spoke of choosing revenge, and not the law. We all feel revengeful at times in our life, but this is not a reason to physically cause harm to another. Admitting the feelings of revenge maybe beneficial to emotion roller coaster of the day, but the acting on it is the crime and set yourself to loosing liberty. The feelings of malice or evil doing is truly the feeling of humanity when harm of self or a love one happens. It is normal feeling to experience rage within. How we use that rage for evil intent is not the way of God.

How do you fight the evil emotion that can be a plague usually a cause of more then one situation. Find a way to express how you feel without causing harm to anyone else. Get or make a punching bag a pillow often can work fine. I heard a story once a woman took eggs into the middle of the woods and broke them all. My thoughts were eggs are food. I would feel stupid releasing my anger that way. A hard run, shooting hoops, and maybe video game to lessen the aggressive feelings might help. Doing a chore or job beong busy can help. Cry if you must. These feelings and finding a way to control the emotions or keep in check is often the nature of a sane person. Your emotion can be tested beyond your on control. That why the need of the Savior and Holy Spirit to keep one's emotion in check, when we take time to seek God and tell him the truth about our need for revenge. We need to hand the revenge over to God. After the first time we lay our need of revenge at the cross of Jesus' feet, God shows us his revenge. We realize could we have been on the side of God's wrath if we sought revenge. Insteady God has given us not a cloak of malice but a garment of love.

We think of the discipline of a believer is always this lovely feeling of hope love and faith. Yet if we are truthful there are days our emotions want to take action of revenge. The need go find a way to change the emotion of consuming our being by allowing God to reign over our feelings and the results of allowing God to correct is often priceless gift from God. Why priceless because at the cross God showed man through signs and wonders who the Roman soldiers, Jewish leaders and the crowd crucified and Jesus asked God to forgive, instead of revenging.

Christ did not seek an occasion for malice, but sought a occassion to love. Love of Christ sets his children at liberty. Teaching them to love beyond abuse. I make it sound simple but it takes a believer willing to obey the Spirit of God and not their own reaction to the problem. Cain clearly heard God and clearly still killed his brother because of his own jealousy and desire for malice. Perhaps that the main difference in Old and New Testament is seeking of revenge and applying love and oil to all wounds instead of seeking revenge. Is war different then revenge I am talking about. Ask those that lost love ones on 911 and those that chose to join military force to take down the enemy. We won but at a cost of liberty, no because our liberty been threaten for years as violence plagues no longer inner city alone it small and large communities with no rhyme or reason for man or woman's aggression. We want liberty our action got to be love. Government fights against powers that wish to destroy it. That is a form of retaliation but it the type of retaliation that protected by the law. Forth of July happened only because America wanted liberty from and abusive power that taxed them to death. News traveled to slow much like our own red tape of our government did at one time. Technology changed how government can operate to the good but humanity has to rise and speak up and let it be processed the right way. Our liberty can and is perhaps almost as important as our liberty through Christ's love. God has established laws in government to allow justice and not revenge that only cause mote revenge seeking.

Dear Heavenly Father let our liberty in Christ not be used for revenge but for a time of love. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
