Colossians 2:20-23 KJV
20 Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not;
22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?
23 Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

Colossians 3:1-17 KJV
1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
8 But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
12 Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

As believers we live by rules of the land we live in. We live by laws we do not always agree with from dietary and health. Some of these laws are based solely on culture and government. Paul no doubt not from the land of Israel but by birth new the tradition of both Jewish culture and Roman laws. Jews from the world of living among the gentiles not ruled by religious law but a secular law. Israel ruled by both religious law and governmental laws. After all their many foreign wives of the king served other gods. Kings generally did not kill for killing sake their wives.

If someone eating or digesting any poison that can kill it not only unhealthy by government laws but also religious laws. We can date Pharaoh had a butler all the way back to Joseph who he interupted a dream for him while he, the bulter and the baker. The butler also tasted the wine for Pharaoh. If he died first then Pharaoh would surely live(Genesis 40). Laws concerning maybe older then the commandments written down but not older then them. Dont poison the king. Laws were made to protect, just like God's commands and his warnings. Laws of man can not give one spiritual birth, or spiritual revival. Laws of man do not effect the human soul or condition. The laws of man are to help leave in peace. Spiritual laws is to reunite us to a living God through faith in Christ Jesus.

We as believers are put on the man with the knowledge of our Creator. As we understand who he is our desire to be holy has he is holy begins to inflitrate and change our life. Have a friend children from another location spend time with your children and those things they like about each other or find funny they will probably imitated. More learn about Christ and the more we will grow to be more like him: Compassion, mercy, patient, forgiveness and so forth others will see Jesus in us. What is it love about God and Jesus? What something that help you embrace his love and mercy for you.

Dear Heavenly Father help us to grow in your love because of your love and compassion for us. Having ourselves changed through your forgiveness help us to be more like you. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
