Acts 8:26-28 KJV 26 And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert.
27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,
28 Was returning, and sitting in his chariot read Esaias the prophet.

Angels were still in operation through out the New Testament giving messages from God usually some minister or someone tending to need of someone like Elijah on his runaway trip being nourished for his forty day fast.(I Kings 19) The angel of the Lord was no doubt a spiritual being that sent Philip in a particular direction. Once there Phillip would discover who he was suppose to meet.

How many would arise and go as directed. I say percentage that would go questions unasked. Others not so readily because of warning against Satanic messengers. This is a baptism of knowledge of God's messengers how do you know the difference, if it a messenger of God. Some believe Brigham Young Mormon leader was not of God. I never did enough research beyond a little knowledge of culture, life style of mormons as far as it okay to have many wives, and the worship of angels. Angels are not to be worshipped. John the Apostle writes of bowing to an angel and being corrected for doing so. That enough information not to bow to any of God's angels in form of worship to them except Jesus. Satan does appear as angel of light, scripture declares.

Here this angel came after the cross and the baptism of the Holy Spirit, appearing to Philip and saying go to this direction and he discovers an Eunuch a servant of the queen of Candance reading Isaiah.

God timing is about ministry, direction to go. After Elijah running he seen the storms God was not in, but God whispering in small still voice to him about the direction he should go and what awaited him there. Because of the angel of the Lord. Phillip went on the direction he was sent. Whether he replied or asked anything is unclear but he was sure enough that ran in that direction and continue running until the chariot would stop and Eunuch let him into it.

I can teach every passage about angels but that not who I will teach you beyond they made choices too of obedience to God and Satan. People do adore people in the sense of trying to immulate their life not knowing that much adoration does not belong. We are to be imitators of the work and actions of Jesus.

What is important in our next lesson is to what purpose Phillip would be sent in that direction.

Dear Heavenly Father, help us to follow your leading, help us to know that if you sending a messenger it for a purpose. It to help us focus on where we should go, In Jesus precious name, Amen.
