Spiritual Rejuvenation Begins With What 01/07/2024
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisActs 8:4-8 KJV
4 Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word.
5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.
6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.
7 For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.
8 And there was great joy in that city.
What do know about Samaria in Bible times, some of the people kept the traditions of Jewish culture but they were mixed with the gentile race and Jews would have nothing to do with them because of their mixing. Their were idolatry and witchcraft/sorcery among them, that why Jewish people had nothing to do with them.
However Philip went to Samaria and preach in a town Christ and many were saved. And many devils/spirits were cast out of the people and the lame were healed. Many believed because of the healings.
Any great evangelist will tell you just preach Jesus. There more the one baptism of faith. Most believe and are baptized in some knowledge of God but not always Jesus. Entertwining of the Jewish culture would of given knowledge of the Jewish God but not about his Son necessarily. The woman at the well in John 4 is example of Samaritan knowledge that they knew of the Messiah coming.
The baptism of Christ life began wirh learning who he is and his Father love the people. John 3:16 says it best when it said, "For God so loved the world he gave his only Son....".
The knowledge of who God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) comes often by signs and wonders, like healing. Evidenced need for belief. Spiritual rejuvenation is revival of knowledgw of all person's of the Godhead bodily. Tomorrow I be going over introduction of the Holy Spirit who was already working in Philip life as he preached in Samaria only Jesus. We can not exfoliate without the revival of rejuvention of who Jesus is.
Dear Fathee teach us who you are and love for us that you sent your son to teach mankind. In Jesus precious name, Amen. Continual Scripture Study: Matthew 28:19-20 KJV
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. http://www.turtle30cshell.com
