Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

2 Kings 5:1-14 KJV
1 Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.
2 And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman's wife.
3 And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.
4 And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel.
5 And the king of Syria said, Go to, go, and I will send a letter unto the king of Israel. And he departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of raiment.
6 And he brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, Now when this letter is come unto thee, behold, I have therewith sent Naaman my servant to thee, that thou mayest recover him of his leprosy.
7 And it came to pass, when the king of Israel had read the letter, that he rent his clothes, and said, Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man doth send unto me to recover a man of his leprosy? wherefore consider, I pray you, and see how he seeketh a quarrel against me.
8 And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.
9 So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha.
10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.
11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the LORD his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.
12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.
13 And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?
14 Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

Exfoliating begins with first purification from unbelief mentality to yes there is a God. Many people raised in church may not of had that aah ha moment in the since from unbelief to belief the same as age old unbeliever. Faith if taught it part of mentality of something greater exist in universe long before the idea that unbelief also exist in our world.

Does unbelief come perhaps because of never receiving salvation through confessing that Jesus is Lord with one's mouth and asking him to be one's Lord of their life? Then one day they decide to follow and/or obey God's word when all hope is gone, and God becomes the waymaker with obedience. Through obedience the impossible becomes possible. Making the observer with unbelief receiving the impossible. A seed is planted. Whether it grows is based on if one decides to believe or continues to reject. Either being fruitful to growth or rotten to the core of the unbeliever's heart and mind.

Namaan mind was pricked along with the king of a Syria, who was captain in the house of the king. When Naaman's wife told of the little girl that was living with her as a slave in captivity from Samaria that there was a prophet there that could heal him. His boss the king sent not only money and goods, but sent him with a letter to king of Israel to inquire of the prophet that could heal even leoprosy.

When be receive the letter he ripped his clothes wandering if they thought he was a God. Then Elisha sent a message to the king to send the man to him that he may know their is a prophet in Israel.

3 men and one woman has a seed of faith planted. That is hope by one little young girl. The second seed almost fizzled out when Prophet to dunk himself in Jordan river seven times. He had bath many times in his own land, what so special about the Jordan river. Elisha's servant want to know if he been asked to do a great thing by Prophwt Elisha would he do it?

Seed of faith is now replanted and as he goes exfoilating himself in the Jordan river He was healed. No doubt several more believers came from this one event. He was baptize/exfoliate by the word of hope into faith on God of Israel. We will finish the story tomorrow.

Dear Heavenly Father, we ask you to exfoliate our faith by your word of hope to strengthen our faith, in Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Psalm 31:23 KJV
23 O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.

Romans 15:11-21 KJV
11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.
12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.
13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
15 Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,
16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
17 I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.
18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,
19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
20 Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation:
21 But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand.
