God's Grace 02/26/2024
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisGenesis 6:5-8 KJV
5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
7 And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
It hard to picture a completely wicked world and it was wicked enough For God to want to destroy the whole world and the warning is he will destroy again but not by flood. He will first send his Son to tell us he loves us and then he will poor his wrath on the world. Next time with fire. His warning comes with signs for the believer and hope of eternity with him.
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. God is disappointed in the world that accepts him not. God gives some people riches and others are impoverished, but Noah was righteous and found God's grace.
It is each us of our job to discover and understand his love for us. Noah believed God and was given instruction from God because he obeyed those instruction he was saved. It took 100 years to complete the ark. I be truthful I have working on a sweater X amount of days and it should been finished by now. No one knows why Noah took so long other then primitive tools might of slowed him down. My only conclude I had things to do and Noah probably did too. We dont know how primitive culture was at the time of Noah but we know the world was wicked. We know Noah believed and had faith in God.
How can God say he loves us and yet plans of destruction are already made. Corruption reaches the height of heaven there was plans for destruction but Noah found grace. God repents and repent means in verse 6 to console or comfort oneself over the wickness of man. He finds Noah and loves him. God told Noah how to build the ark and he then waits patiently 100 years while Noah built the ark. Man continued to disappointed God.
Man has responsibility of reverencing God through not only respect and fear but faith and obedience to him. God's grace fell on Noah and his family. It took Noah 100 years to finish.
God grace is on our obedience but our obedience is our Savior. God's word that if we believe in Jesus and followed him we would be saved. Many good people without faith that God sends his ministers to them to bear witness of him. If they reject God that their choice. If they choose his grace continues to pour out to them as they receive Christ as Savior and Lord of their heart and obey his word. Our obedience only comes by believing who God is and Jesus.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for grace in the lives of your people. In Jesus precious name, Amen. Continual Scripture Study: John 3:15-16 KJV
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 10:8-21 KJV
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.
19 But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you.
20 But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
21 But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.
Romans 11:30-36 KJV
30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?
35 Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen. http://www.turtle30cshell.com
