Numbers 6:23-27 KJV
23 Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel, saying unto them,
24 The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
25 The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
26 The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
27 And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.

This is love month. Love of God for all people. Israel a people of promise because of faith. Ruth(in the book of Ruth),a Moabite from birth found God's favor and her own offspring through the line of King David who would be the ensign to the nation of the world. This ensign was a message of hope in difficult times of chastisement upon his people coming for a number of years. Meaning a sign of hope and blessing. To disregard that God uses many nationalities to accomplish his will yet all coming through people of conversion to faith in God.

In today's continual scripture study I highligted a verse in Isaiah and Hebrews that deals with the scripture reference in today's reading of Numbers 6 concerning the blessing on his people that Moses gave instruction to Aaron the Priest to tell the people. The blessing of favor(countenance) was not just when people were walking by faith.

God's love seems only at one particular time when the world worships God. But God's favor rest on the children of disobedience with hope through the coming Messiah and then through repentance after the Messiah. We live in a state of grace but without repentance we find no mercy. We see countenance of God despite his correction in their life of receiving chastisement a lesson of hope. You correct a child, is their hope after correction for child that things everythings okay. In normal children problems but some things can be life altering, their exception that our behavior effects another for life like injury or death. Are people without hope. Judas found no hope though he sought it in all the wrong places. Day of Pentecost(Acts 2) many Jews got saved. God still forgave is people after the ensign came and returned to heaven. For all that believe Jesus was the Messiah was saved.

In Hebrews a warning to live a holy life no one would see the Lord. We remember devil believes and trembles but there no repentance.

We go back to the blessings Aaron is to say to the people. God's favor is on his people but God's mercy and grace reigns through his message of hope to his children of disobedience. If you are feeling chastised think about reason why and repent knowing God is merciful.
