Teachers Love Learning 02/23/2024
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisActs 18:24-28 KJV
24 And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
25 This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
27 And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:
28 For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.God's word and knowledge is precious. We see a learned man(Apolos) with understand of baptism in the need of repentance but not understanding and knowledge of Christ's death and resurrection and the Holy Spirit. The most loving thing Aquila and Pricilla did was take him in and expound on him the knowledge of all these things.
Compassion to help another learn is love and help some one understamd scripture is more love. Some jobs are common sense jobs and other jobs are ones that take training not just book sense. Apprenterships and trade schools plus higher learning all take time. No one became boss without being first person in that line of work in a company. The second way person becomes a boss by working up in a company and/ coming in with a particular skill.
Ministry is particial life skill by caring for others. Bible learning and teaching comes one with a calling to do so and sharing what you know and understand of it. Young Apollo shared what he knew and understood and because others cared they aided and expounded his knowledge.
With love and care for others learning. It also means Aquilla and Pricilla was still learning too because part of teaching is a desire to learning.
Dear Heavenly Father give your teachers, preachers, and Testifiers the desire to not only teach but to always learning. In Jesus precious name, Amen. Continual Scripture Study: Acts 16:1-5 KJV
1 Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek:
2 Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium.
3 Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek.
4 And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem.
5 And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily. http://www.turtle30cshell.com
