If We Believe X Amount

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Galatians 3:14-29 KJV
14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
15 Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man's covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.
16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.
20 Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.
21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.
24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.
26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

If I believe X amount of dollars will pay off debit, and I buy x amount on a credit card I just raised the amount I got to pay back. If I hold not and change my end of my debit then the amount owed does not change lender's orignal plan if it is a fixed rate. Fix rate unaltered for all that borrow means the original debt is unaltered but must be paid. Faith was God's original plan for all to be saved from beginning of time. Yet man alter his debit with sin. His credit is paid with faith and with faith comes God's blessings of hope and eternal life.

Each generation must come to understand this blessing of hope of eternity through faith. There as always been a segregation of unbelievers and none believers. You cross the line of unbelief when you belief.

We stand on God's promise of eternal life by belief. Christ's was more then preacher of his human life generation and more then a prophet like Jeremiah who was known by God even before conception(Implied in Jeremiah 1).

Who is Christ but the promise word made into the flesh of man(John 1:1-14) to teach about faith in his Heavenly Father(God) to a generation of both Jews and Gentiles that knew him not. Jews not understand who God was beyond the law of Moses. The Gentile nation not understanding the power and blessings of God. Faith in God's word never changed but man wants to think the value of their works should be good enough, but righteous was always faith in God and belief in what God said to man.

Esau sought his father Isaiah but he sold his birthright to his brother Jacob. Sought it with tears and he was blessed not as his original birthright. Esau was blessed by the labor of his hands as Jacob was. But Jacob blessing came with hope of his Father's land ordain by God and given to Abraham by the Cananites, because he obeyed the word of God. Just like Moses and other Israel lost their inheritance of land, God returned it to another generation of Israelites. Though Abraham had many sons only one received the land. All were offered righteousness by faith even before Abraham going back to the flood before earth was covered by water. One day it will be destroyed by fire with God's children watching that believed his word just like Noah and his family believed and were tucked safe and dry in a huge ark.

When we believe in Jesus we are promised eternal hope. It also only one that can stand between us and God. His Word/ Word now come in the flesh still does that for us today. Our works are part of our faith in sharing the love of God. Yet our faith is our Binding Contract of payment to God that says we accept the debt and pay our debt to God by belief and upon belief no longer by our power but the power of the Holy Spirit, because Christ pays our debt on the cross for sins, including the sin of unbelief. Our debit no longer owe because we grow in faith learning to trust and obey his word. Though Christ suffering in the flesh happened for generation of his people, God's word continues to suffer because of the world's unbelief. It takes God to demonstrate his power to each generation. As believers we continue to share how faith in Jesus changed our life. We take day at time as we walk in the love and light of his word knowing He did for others through the passage of time, his power unchanging so he will do it all over again for us as we read his word and listen in obedience to God.

Jesus is the anchor of our soul and the steadfast proof that his blessings come to each generation that hear and obey his truth to all that believe Christ came in the flesh and receive his sacrifice for their sin. Who truth do we believe, not anyone but his, meaning God's truth.

Dear Heavenly Father to know your blessing pour out on your childten not only of faith but obedience. Help us in first unbelief and learning to trust in your word, and your word in the flesh who name is Jesus, who died for the sin of the world, In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Hebrews 6:11-20 KJV
11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
