Galatians 2:20-21 KJV
20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

The law is good but faith in law will not save a person even with obedience and believing the law is good and even holy. Holiness is state of purity. One gets excellent report card it believed one past til next six weeks. Excellent only states your grade average not any mistakes made through out the six weeks.
The Law of average say excellents is not hard to achieve, you only have to get the part graded on right to achieve it. What that say 99% of the other time I can be wrong until the test and 100% better be right.
When Jesus said God so loved the world he gave his only Son/ His word that whosoever believeth in him should not perish should have eternal life(John3:16). In John 1:1 It says in the beginning he was the word and verse 14 of John 1 it says he came in the flesh speaking of Jesus is he the law. Law is a shadow of the word of God. Law was not God or part of God though ordain and given by God. Law was perfect but when transgression done and punishment given through sacrifice it made the law of faith incomplete for with Christ there was no more sacrifice for sin. Christ doing more then the law could do with forgiveness and payment for sin.
Righteous comes by faith in God and Christ Jesus. Not by works of the law, though the law good to keep law and order to those with no faith. People of faith learn to obey God with or without the written law.

Hebrews 10:1 KJV
1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
