Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

1 Corinthians 4:9-14 KJV
9 For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.
10 We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.
11 Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;
12 And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:
13 Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.
14 I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.

I have a friend that enjoys positivity and post such positivity when online. I got to thinking this morning am I positive when I write, am I upbeated and my answer not always. My thoughts were faith should be the most upbeated thing in our life and in truth it is. Yet postive vibes do not keep reality and truth from being negative. Hardship and trials of faith or just life in general are often negative part of faith. What it says is my road is not the always the beautiful mountain top but sometimes we are in the trenches of our faith with the word of God our sword and the shield being our faith and our helmet our salvation. Righteousness being our breastplate and our feet sod with the Gospel of Jesus. Our loins gird with the spirit of truth.

The trenched are often mud and cold with only food and water carried in a duffle bag. Yet we are capture, torture and even killed for our faith. None of that sounds positive, but even Christ died for our benefit with resurrection that can be a negative.

Where the positivity of the life the apostle were face with warring with the enemy to our faith. We are more then conquerors with Christ Jesus. Whether it looks like we are winning, Christ has already won the battle for us. Our faith what can take us from the love of Christ. Nothing can take us from the positivity of faith and that is Jesus love for us.

Dear Heavenly Father, your love is the positive vibe we need to get us through the day because there nothing that can separate us from your love, in Jesus precious name, Amen. Thank you Lord for your love.

Continual Scripture Study: Romans 8:35-39 KJV
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
