First Tabernacle 4/23/2024
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisExodus 33:7-11 KJV
7 And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the LORD went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.
8 And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.
9 And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the LORD talked with Moses.
10 And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.
11 And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.
Exodus 40:34-38 KJV
34 Then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
35 And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
36 And when the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys:
37 But if the cloud were not taken up, then they journeyed not till the day that it was taken up.
38 For the cloud of the LORD was upon the tabernacle by day, and fire was on it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys. The earliest recorded time frame for worship of God is when Eve thank the Lord for birth of a son. The next worship time frame came when Abel offer a lamb and Cain offered fruit of the ground. We learn that certain sacrifices were not the same and on appropiate to be given to the Lord. Seth would be the second son that would worship God after Cain being cast out of the presents of the Lord. Noah built altar and made a sacrifice to the Lord and it pleased him.
The first tabernacle was built in the wilderness to worship God and commune with God. When cloud that lead them into the wilderness hover over the door of the Tabernacle, the fear of God came upon the people that witness it standing before the door of tabernacle that they worshipped God.
I can remember how easy as a child it was to look and accept all the stories from Old to New Testament. As adult we have to have that same child like faith in order to accept the word of God. I hurt for adult that struggles with faith of miracles that happen in scripture. Looking at it from an adult if I witness events in scripture I be looking how was it done. To understand the cloud went over the door of the Tabernacle and resided until it was time to leave an area. One has to realize with God all things are possible. The Old Testament has stories that science tries to explain. One explanation of the cloud before them that it was Volcano. Smoke filled inside and outside the tabernacle. Yet anything that will be used to try an explain a miracle, is often use to cut what God did into a lie. Realize Israelites watch the cloud before them that lead them to move and stand before the Tabernacle door. No this is not a volcano, but an act and a demonstration of the power of God. The worship center was now outside the tabernacle with Joshua, Moses and the priesthood(Aaron and other priest) within the Tabernacle. Smoke would of killed them if it were not God's Spirit going into the Temple.
Taking God on faith also begins the ability to worship God and until then you become a part of ritualism without faith. Want faith receive miracles with no explanation, but be not so gullible to believe even lies of devils. The Tabernacle is the first worahip center that was built with God's instructions.
Dear Heavenly Father give those with desire to know you child like faith of things being possible, because of who you are, in Jesus precious name, Amen. Continual Scripture Study:
Genesis 4:25-26 KJV
25 And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew.
26 And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.
Genesis 8:20-22 KJV
20 And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.
21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.
22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.
