Walk By Faith 4/08/2024
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisJohn 4:48-54 KJV
48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.
49 The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.
50 Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.
51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.
52 Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.
53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.
54 This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee. When I think of miracles in scripture it takes faith to believe what Jesus said to be so. Nobel man's son laid dying at home and he asked Jesus to come because his Son laid dying. Jesus tells the man to go his son lives. He went believing but his faith was confirmed as he question his servants the hour his son was healed. It was same time that Jesus had told him to go his son liveth. So his whole house believed. Faith comes not by sight but believing and taking what is said on faith. Married people how many of you ask your spouse to do something and you still might have to go behind and do what you requested of your spouse. You have faith the person you asked could do it, but in reality it takes more faith not to check behind and believe it was done.
When a believer ask of God it takes faith to believe he will do it. It takes faith to believe his Son will handle it and it takes more faith that the Spirit sent forth to do what needs to be done will take care of it. Why is that what we ask may not be the will of God. To have God's Spirit or his Son Speak we can take it to the bank that it is so. However believer only can take request to be receivable if it lines up with the will of God. Our accountability to learn what we can about the God we make request too.
Our faith is the part that lack the hope it needs to be energized. The absents of a worried Father caused him to make a request to Jesus for his son healing, no it was he had faith what Jesus said would be true, no in reality because if his nobility he though Jesus should come to his house to heal his son and instead Jesus with words forced the man to take it on faith his son would be healed which was then confirmed to him because of the hour he was healed.
Our faith in which we have comes without the physical sight of heaven or even Jesus. Our faith must come from where we stand on earth believing in his word and what his Spirit says to every believers heart. We are in flesh on earth not in our heavenly home. We take it on faith that we are have confidence in the work Christ will do in our heart and soul for our eternal salvation. We take it on faith by prayer when we make request for healing and other things God will do is ablevto do it; from open doors and directions we are to take. Long the way of life God confirms his word not only by his Spirit but the evidence of change having Christ in our heart and work he confirms that we requested to him in pray. That why whether we are here or earth or present with him in heaven we serve him willing and acceptible and pleasing to him.
Dear Heavenly Father bring us to the confirmation we need in our life of our spiritual eternity. Show us when we pray according to your will the answers of our prayers will give us hope. In Jesus precious name, Amen. Continual Scripture Study: 2 Corinthians 5:6-9 KJV
6 Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. http://www.turtle30cshell.com
