Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Genesis 24:55-67 KJV
55 And her brother and her mother said, Let the damsel abide with us a few days, at the least ten; after that she shall go.
56 And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the LORD hath prospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master.
57 And they said, We will call the damsel, and enquire at her mouth.
58 And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go.
59 And they sent away Rebekah their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham's servant, and his men.
60 And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them.
61 And Rebekah arose, and her damsels, and they rode upon the camels, and followed the man: and the servant took Rebekah, and went his way.
62 And Isaac came from the way of the well Lahairoi; for he dwelt in the south country.
63 And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming.
64 And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel.
65 For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.
66 And the servant told Isaac all things that he had done.
67 And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.

A servant took an oath to return with a bride to his master Abraham for his son. He prayed to Abraham's God on the journey prosperous and God did. New start a new journey in life does not mean removal of the yoke of this life. It means the tasked your assign by man can be prosperous if you rely on God to do that very thing. If your assigned a job all you have to do is ask God to help you do it well and make your way prosperous.

The girl Abraham's servant found for Isaac was willing to go with him not in a few days but immediately. No one knows why the girl was ready to take a leap of faith not knowing what lais before her. However when she seen Isaac for first time some distance off she leaped from her camel to cover herself and to make herself presented as a bride to Isaac. He took her to be his wife. The relationship coming at the end of a long journey. The leap the decision to go, he cant be that bad for she been present with gold bracelette at the first meeting of the servant. Her willingness to be going but also presentable to her future spouse. The importance of her leap was important of how she presented herself with her future role. She wasnt coming as a prostitute but as wife covered as a virgin bride.

When we come to Christ we present ourselves only in the virginity of faith and humility of sin. Christ has to cover us with his blood shed from Calvary's Tree. He bears our sins when we laid them at the cross and we rise to the newness of our faith in him.

God our Father is able to make our journey from the cross and spiritual resurrect prosperous in the journey of faith. Where are we in journey ready to allow God to make our journey prosperous or are we wanting to prepare ourselves to allow Christ to come in our hearts by first knowing his covering is what we need. Our virginity of faith is taken when we realize we must receive salvation God's way through faith in Jesus. We come in our humilty and our shame of who we are in our sin. Then we are ready to see receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior and king of our hearts.

Dear Heavenly Father our journey to be properous in faith must come with trusting you in the way of the cross through Christ Jesus. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: 2 Corinthians 11:1-3 KJV
1 Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me.
2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

1 Peter 2:24 KJV
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
