Revelation 1:1-3 KJV
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.
3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

John revelation's is a book about the revelation that Angel showed John about things to that would shortly come to pass. Several things we must note about prophesy there will be things in the passed that represent things to come and by this age has come some of it. To realize that we on the prophetic age even still takes a work of God by the Holy Spirit. During any great plague the doors of house were shut til the plague was over. Most did not leave there homes, the need to keep even our own country flowing was necessary to keep certain work going. Especially food industry.

Some prophesy is repetitive because of the event being foretold about. Old testant prophets understood it. Those at the time of Christ and today are more facinated as when will these things occur. After going through a plague of our century and others going through major diasaster do you want to be awakened this way to prophesy. John is learning something about repetitive history. We live in a time we believe we can make change. We do not have to repeat history. Yet ignoring truth does not stop events from occurring. The war of Israel is repetition of passed events. Without them understanding their war is over.

Paul worked with some of Apostles.Who was Paul a priest of Jewish faith but a born again Christian. Who taught John but angel. Most believe an angelic being but could of easily been a man. Someone to explain what would happen. The fall of Jerusalem has not happened yet. Events of destruction had not occurred yet in the form war, plagues of magnitude or earthquakes though there was earthquake at the time of the cruxifixion, no talk of any mass destruction besides the tear of the veil in the Temple. Who can prepare you for war and destruction. Who can prepare you for great clamity. Why is it still taught to prepare for time of God's wrath, time of destruction the known world has never seen.

Then what taught is truly compassion of God on his people in difficult times. The hope faith lives even in perilous times even in persecution amd disaster. God's word remains true if we learn to walk by the Spirit of God; one we will not fullfill the flesh, and two God protection is on the believer til we are homeward bound. Then we leave this earth behind. Hopefully the fruits of the Spirit is taught throughout and demonstrated throughout our life. God's Spirit ia real and visitation of the wrath of God is real.

Was my train wreck a warning in my life. Was my own illness a type of warning or a test, prehaps. John does not just prophesy to seven churches but to all willing to read. The prophetic warning to seven churches is to steer them into right direction of continuing to remain in love and faith of Christ.

Bear record of God's word and the testimony of Jesus in the flesh(not denying Christ coming in the flesh John 4) Christ coming at a time of not complete peace but peaceful for the time, not without the misfortune of otber weeping for the children. Jesus going to Egypt until Herod died and it was safe to return.

We can get lost in prophesy of events but even more so of things yet to be thay we are no earthly good. Prophesy is good to remind us of what came and will be in our lifetime, if we live long enough to see it. As believers in Christ we will see the wrath of God poured out on our world, but protection upon the saints that believe. Hope on Revelation is told of the coming of Christ once more.

This is not only taught Revelations but throughout Old and New Testament. We have completed the outline of 66 books of the Bible that been taught. I do believe a few minor propheys have not been taught in it entirety. However most been gone through sections, all chapters and some verses at a time.

Dear Heavenly Father thank you for teaching about things to come to people of disobedience as well as the hope of every believer as we walk by faith. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
