Habakkuk 2:1-20 KJV
1 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.
2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.
4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
5 Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people:
6 Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and to him that ladeth himself with thick clay!
7 Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and awake that shall vex thee, and thou shalt be for booties unto them?
8 Because thou hast spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil thee; because of men's blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
9 Woe to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!
10 Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off many people, and hast sinned against thy soul.
11 For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.
12 Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and stablisheth a city by iniquity!
13 Behold, is it not of the LORD of hosts that the people shall labour in the very fire, and the people shall weary themselves for very vanity?
14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
15 Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!
16 Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of the LORD'S right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall be on thy glory.
17 For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts, which made them afraid, because of men's blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
18 What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?
19 Woe unto him that saith to the wood, Awake; to the dumb stone, Arise, it shall teach! Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it.
20 But the LORD is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.

Blessing of a believer is to live by faith. Yet in the passage one will find much destruction of those that seek their own goals in life in regards to establishing their own power, wealth, that is feed only on their own desire. There corruption spawn the lust of the flesh, the drunkness of sin, and the drunkness of wealth that they declare they did it and not the Lord. They bear and bear much fruit of wickedness. If we digress the situation and say the people were not evil in regards to life style or their since of search to get wealth we see that they are still without their benefactor of God. We can not talk about blessings of God without examing where his wealth is established from, including only himself. Business world is app to say look what I did and not recognize God in their speeches. When we see God in the business world it through the witness of who is truly in control of the world and our riches. I am not rich in wealth in the since of things, I can declare I am rich in the things God has allowed me to understand, but not rich in the worldly of the things of this world. Does this bother me. Not in the least why because life is short upon this earth and eternity is much longer and the way of faith makes us stronger in the one who established my faith not only in my heart, but in my life.

What wood do we have in our life that is not ours, but we claim is ours. What perishable items in our heart we can not claim to really have fruit that not of God? Stone can crumble, but the solid rock of faith one builds upon will hold. What is a part of our life we have power over but is not in God's hands, or produced by the fruit of God's Spirit, like love, faith, hope, joy and so on. All things we ourselves establish in our life will one day be destroyed and all God establishes in our life will stand. The fruit of his production in our life will it hold to produce? God design the fruit in our life to hold for a purpose and continue to produce in the lives of others as the seed of that fruit is planted in the heart of another.

Many seeds of all kinds are planted in the heart of people. Some seed is just pure rotten and seems to still produce seeds of more rottenness. But because it core is rotten, it will not remain nor survive in God continual plan for man. Some people look at some people life and see unfruitness, by the wealth they do not have, or the ability to survive the way in which they do. The attitude of someone else worth based on what they can bring to the table in life. Some people's productivity can not produce as much as another. You take a doctor or a business owner they are known by their talents and have many friends and yet, they no only those close to them. Popularity of big chain stores is based on good business, or so much greed they know how to disguise their evil hearts to look like nice people. We all have that nice people look even when we have attitude toward someone that is not of God.

When is it okay to have a feeling of revenge or hate toward someone. It not the toward someone it needs to be toward the person actions. It should also remind us we should not be that way toward someone else. When we see evil it should not be our strive. Greed, lust, the need for the things of this world. Nothing wrong with new gizmo and things of a bobs. It part of our desire to make life easier and not so difficult. It like grocery shopping. There some of us that still buy basic stuff and turn it into whatever we hungry for. While other stock their freezer with food that has to be eaten or toss because it made the way it was designed by the cook that froze it. I freeze home cook meals, but what I learn it no different then buying from the freezer in regards to after a while the attitude that what we got we got to eat it, where cooking something everyday give opportunity for more variety, unless your poor and can not afford to be creative everytime you desire it. Yet that can become mundane as well.

God's wealth is sometimes found in poverty of this world. People even have a heart towards God in poor situation or a heart for wealth and greed of money of this world. It usually not both, or I have yet to see it. Most poor people knows it is hard work to gain money, so the idea of being able to gain money is not the issue it the lack of jobs or income from jobs that are available in low income areas. The wealthy see their empire and wonder what they can not find someone else to do for them or to create. Their own ability may be such that the design and hard works come completely from their own labor. There attitude is look at my accomplishment and not look what God has enabled me to do. We all have the attitude of look at our own accomplishment in our own heart, but it more of denial of God enabling a person to be wealthy, to be creative that God has a problem with. It understand his blessings come to those who use their talents for good and to help people. It does not mean you do not need that thing of a bob you made by your own creation, but God gave you the skills to create the thing of a bob. I made a camper top/shell for my truck. The design not complex, but for someone that knew nothing what I was doing, I be honest my head swelled a bit in creating it and building it. Yet who gave me ability to do something I never done before nor my husband. It was God. It took some team work on my husband and my part to get started, based on things we seen or knew about. You be surprised what knowledge we has humans have just based on images of our memory that can help in designing things alone. Now it still takes skill to use a electric drill but not much and a grinder. Yet it still takes determination to complete and it still needs some work, but eventually it will be finished hopefully before the life of the truck is over that it was created for. However who gave me the ability to create, that comes from God?

It takes no rocket science today, historian, computer genius and so forth to look up things online either. We are living in a time of great knowledge upon the earth, but who is this great knowledge coming from? We are living in a time where inventions are great, cures are more accessible then ever to find. Yet who is praising God for the time of quick access and giving God praise and not man. The other day the White house had the basketball all stars that won their big playoffs. Each established and marked by skill and talent of playing ball in our history of our nation. The healthy environment of saying look what you achieved and the greatness of your talent. Yet most would agree that type of talent comes from hard work and natural ability to achieve. Those things God gave the woman the ability to achieve their goaled, whether they believe in God or not.

If we are all children of God but not all saved by grace, meaning God has richly blessed all his children in one way or another. Some do not want the headache of the over achiever, some like the quiet simple life, and some want both if they can somehow achieve it. Yet it is God who brings us to a place of rest. Where is your faith in the one that can bring you to a place of not only spiritual rest, but physical rest.

I will share something with my readers, sometimes when words fly from my fingers it all sounds like poppy cock or just plain silliness. I have to come back to what was my faith truly established on, belief in Jesus, based on God's word that I was saved. Now with that said, how much does scripture sounds like life in general. We are young, we grow up and we work hard to achieve only to come to a place of rest. Then we are buried and know this life we had is no more. If we read scripture to long we could become atheist as much as a believer. What makes one a believer in God, we are saved by faith in God's grace who sent his Son to die on the cross for our sins and resurrected to a new life with him and endless life for him. Most can get the metaphoric references inscripture faith takes much more in a living God. It is by his Spirit and our search of God and his opening the door of faith to be established in our hearts has he prepares us to reject or receive him. We can not reject what he offers to us first of all. We feel the prick on our hearts to receive his invitation of salvation we better leap. The road after is not a ditch, but a life of building on God's word by his Spirit. Trusting int he spiritual word within scripture that gives us hope in the storms, and in the valleys of faith. For the mountain tops speak of the valley that brings us to rise in hope to be able to climb the mountain.

Are you spiritually barren by the greed and desires of this world to performed based on what you consider only your ability not given by God, or are you spiritually fruitful, by what you know God has enabled you to do with the knowledge he has given you to have in the world that neither cares for the thing of God or have time for the things of God because people are so busy doing instead of taking time to acknowledge the Creator and author of faith in Christ Jesus(God's word in the flesh)? Many people grasp the metaphors in the regards to our life today, but can they grasp the need of Christ in their life, if nothing more to say it is life and that it is okay. It takes more then grasping the concept of human life in scripture it takes faith to understand the spiritual truth hidden within scripture so boldly given. Are you justified by faith, are you saved by grace, and do you acknowledge the things in your life that are from God. Or is the wickedness of the world destroying your spirituality, it should not for the wickedness must rise and fall as a wave in the sea. It must be choppy road for the wicked despite their achievements to be victors of their own making. Who made you who you are today God or man? Those other things be of God and so we believe and know that the end of time draws even near. Be fruiful in the things of God and know who gives you your ability to do all you do. Know the things of the world will be destroy but the fruit of God will remain in your life.

Dear Heavenly Father help us not to be barren of your fruit, or your love in our life. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
