Jeremiah 1:1-19 KJV
1 The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests that were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin:
2 To whom the word of the LORD came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.
3 It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.
4 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
6 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
7 But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.
8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.
9 Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.
11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.
12 Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.
13 And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is toward the north.
14 Then the LORD said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.
15 For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah.
16 And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.
17 Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them.
18 For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.
19 And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.

Everyone in the world has been chosen to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. However today's main lesson comes from the book of Jeremiah. Israel was called to hear the words spoken by the Prophet Jeremiah. However Jeremiah was chosen to hear directly from God. We all called to be ministers in some way. Yet Jeremiah is called to be a prophet a spokensmen for God. To be chosen long before he was even born for this purpose. The point of being chosen before the purpose of ministry is far different then a warriors call. Maybe marked by God long before maybe to distinguish our purpose of our soul to come. I do not know, but he has a purpose for your life long before you were born. The reality of how precious we are to God is to understand how wonderfully we are made by God. Now your call may not be to go before nations in service. This century many are called to speak to the nations of the world in the business world. What? Yes there are people called ot the business trade as well as ministry. The business trade of itself is not of the devil, it can be if the only thing desire is money, wealth and power from it. I was looking at a friends biog this morning of how many millions of people view their biog and I be truthful it was astounding the numbers of people that are attracted to this one place. Yet it popular because of business and number of people interested in the products being sold.

When I think of all the Christian sites in the world and how many people visit them on a regular or some what regular bases it is astounding to think of how many are interesting in knowing and hearing about God in our world even today. Purpose God called Jeremiah was the call of destruction, the call of warning, the call of turning the hearts of Israel back to him, if they would only hear God's word coming forth from the prophet and believe.

I sometimes flip past a minister and flip back, I do not listen to them all but I do listen to some through out the week that seem to show up now and again on social media. I think about what God word says verse man or the minister. I weight the words with the Bible. It something we all are called to with the knowledge of God's word. If we find a falsehood we are to examine it and ask why is it false. If we agree we often have ready scripture in mind that backs it. I go throught weeks never hearing another minister. It is okay. Why because God's word trumps in my life even my own words.

Jeremiah chosen before he was born. Remember the prophesy of God in Genesis 15:13 concerning the exile of Hebrew people to Abraham for 400 years as well as the return of the Hebrew people to the promise land, it occur long before Hebrew people were born to Jacob. The picture to unfold at the time of the Egyptians. The warning coming long before it happened. Yet chose also people to build the tabernacle in the wilderness and chose the people to carry the ark. He chose people to be people that shepherd the sheep. He chose people to lead his people. The knowledge of Joseph as far as the amount of food from livestock and gardening to feed his family would of been taught to him long before he need the knowledge in the palace of Pharoah when his brothers need food to eat. He governed over the food supply of Egypt in Genesis.

Whether you like our current President or not, like all other President's before him God place him in position of the job. The other day gas prices were lower. I should of waited a week to buy gas. There is a point as rich buy electric vehicles and use them it changes the gas prices for the poor and also changes our economy of companies that have yet to electrify their vehicles. The influcts of economy effecting the globe and american population, but something that had to occur to make changes for better energy source that some are still debating whether it is totally a good product. One thing if you trying to out run a storm you might have a better change of getting away with solar fuel then with gas. The technology changing the idea of the chase. Yet did God know this would happen. Of course he did.

Believers beginning to learn survival skills once lost to the generations of always having things at their disposal. A bad thing only when you having to survive. Chosen for a purpose. Each life is important to God. Each life having a purpose to thrive until he calls us home. Each person called to receive God's word as truth, but not each life receiving God's word ever as truth and so God prepares them a place to go. Simple enough, except it not a rose garden at that, it is a garden of fire and brimstone. Choosing to hear God is choosing to heed to truth of his words, to believe in him and to hope for that eternity of a rose garden to come without thorns.

To heed to God's word is to know the blessing of the journey God designed for your life and purpose of your life. He did not design you to be a person of unbelief, yet some never choose faith. God designed us to seek him out for ourselves to see if his word is true. If we look at Jeremiah standing in the presence of God and God telling him what he would do, and telling him this was his purpose God made him for, he also had to sit back and think if I do not yield to God, my life of being a prophet for God is going to be miserable. If I fail to believe what I speak for God I am going to know what the gutter feels like and the sewer. Yet to believe he would prophesy to kings and in the palace. God desires good things for us.

In the storm of Jeremiah life he also knew what it meant to eat still in the king's palace, to not be begging bread. Each person called by God for whatever purpose to be a builder, a teacher, a flower designer, a cook, a nurse, a cop(police week), a government official and so forth that is your call. Foreign leaders have their call. Not all men and women are called to be mom's and dad's. We called by God's grace everyone of us to receive his salvation plan through faith in his Son Jesus.

We are a chosen priesthood to bring forth his praises. We are called to worship God(Father, Son and Holy Spirit). How he calls us we must be willing to listen and to hear his voice spoken to us. Jeremiah's warnings to the people if they heard and believed would stand a better chance of survival into the exile that was coming with obedience to God's word. There certain calling that are worldwide and some callings that are totally individual and special to our unique design from before birth. Yet not all chose God word or design for their life, the burden seem to much for their desires and temptation that are in this world. Yet God also turned man over to anything that he did not design for that purpose is sin, yet God is able to change his heart, soul and mind with faith. How long does it take to remove sin depends on our willingness to allow God to remove it completely out of our life. it removed on the day of salvation, but do we still hang onto sin.

Over time as rebellion grows then God shows man what rebellion truly is. Your choice to be rebellious against God but his will is designed to be accomplish by the people he put in place. God's will is performed daily in the world. We truly are blessed people and if you looking at a tornado this morning, no doubt you either feel blessed for surviving or you feel destroyed. Everyone is called to be chosen for your purpose in their life. Be blessed to know God desires good things for his children. That you do not have to be in the foot path of destruction for eternity.

Dear Heavenly Father, you have chosen us and has called us blessed, but we still have to receive your blessing and blessings that you desire to bestow on us. Help us to be blessed with the knowledge you desire good things for your people, but if they chose not your design or ways, then they know they will not be blessed by the sin in their life. God blessings are great. As we come to you to worship you, let us hold to the blessing of your call on all our lives if we just receive your first will of salvation for our eternal life. in Jesus precious name, Amen.

6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
