Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Luke 21:29-38 KJV
29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
37 And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.
38 And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.

It is important as a believer to grow in this day and age we live in. It important to know when the signs of Christ return is here that we are just speaking of the elders but the generation coming up that are witnessing not only what the elders of faith did but that we know the season in which we are in as far as the summer. Summer a time of fruitfulness. A time of productivity, a time of revival in full swing and not just spring. The revival of the elders are not just sing the song of praise but they watchers of faith and the time they live in hoping that they will see the promise or at least someone of their generation will live to see the promise hope of redemption that draws nigh.

Our need to be prepared and to turn from sin. To walk by the Spirit God prepared for Christ coming, and also by faith believing we stand before the Son of Man. Not only Stand before Jesus, but are counted worthy to escape the things that will come to pass in the since of destruction and evil of the world. Do you we have to suffer? That for Jesus to decide not ourselves. Yet in suffering, in our situations that life deals us when we follow Jesus, we find two things happening, we ourselves are changing for his glory and honor, and we are then choosing to change our actions our unprayfulness to pray with thanksgiving and choosing the way of hope. If God choose us to suffer it is for his purpose and he will take us through it if we obey him. Going through the struggle with peace and love of God.

There days I write and I say it easier to write then to walk. It easier to write then to climb. It easier to blog God's instructions then to have faith in his word and HIs Son. Why because of our humanity that ensnares us and catches us when we not doing as God desires us to do in our life. When the battle of the storm seems to rage on and on and we daggling by a thread it be easier to let go then allow God to pull us up. As one brother fell from his death and let go of his other brother in backdraft, it gave the brother that had no choice but to let go the ability to fight even longer in the battle of the fire. One might ask how long could his brother hold on, how long could his brother not let go, until he felt him slip pass his fingers and not by his choice. Jesus is holding that line not our brother's and sister in Christ. They have their own battle of faith to fight and if they have to let go, they still taking that water hose and fighting the fire of the devil. Who is lifting us up, Jesus. Who keeping our hands stuck to the rope, Jesus. Who keeping and perserving us, Jesus. We have a responsibility to grow in Jesus, not grow in our brothers and in our sisters. We are not joint at the hip to our brothers and sisters, we walking hand and hand with Jesus. Scripture says this generation will not pass away until Jesus returns. Meaning when we see evidence of hope of faith and growth, the generation is not going anywhere until Jesus returns. It does not mean we won't loose brother and sisters, the remanent will remain until the day of his coming.

As my husband uncle passed this passed week, and I look even at my own family tree and see how many have past away, it left a thought how long will we have to wait for Christ return. Then realizing the word of faith is ever revolving through the generations coming up. There are generation falling down on their knees, that the older generation though because of woodstock era that their grandchildren would be lost, but the word of God came. Trouble came, disease, pestilence and more came with the storms around us. Yet there is awakening in the generation thought lost. Yet when is the time of the uncorruptible flesh of Jesus returning to take us home, when the word of God is flourishing in the generation of old but the generation of new is arriving. When leaves are growing and fruit is blooming and it is summer in the life of the church.

Can we hold to the truth of the word of God coming not only in the lives of each generation but to his actually coming again in the flesh. Our revival is not complete til we see Christ coming in those eastern skies. Can we hold by the power of God to the truth of his word of Jesus coming. Whether by word or incorruptible flesh. Why do storms come because of sin. Why do trouble like disease come because of sin. Always because of the sin of the world but not always are we walking in a storm due to our sin. Sometimes the trouble and correction is coming to those in need of correction and we standing in the path of the storm. That storm going to just go right over our heads and out the door. We only a witness of the storm. We see a wreck, we become a witness, we see a tornado or results of a tornado we seen the storm.

Dear Heavenly Father, you are the deliver of every generation through your Son Jesus. Help generation that hears your word to receive it with truth and obedience to it. Help each generation to have faith. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Hebrews 3:10-11 KJV
10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
