Gift Of Grace
6/26/2023

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Romans 12:4-21 KJV
4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:
5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

God gave all mankind grace when it came to his Son, but with the grace came condition upon man to believe. Upon the condition of belief, came us willing to allow God to revenge instead of us revenging. Allow ourselves to be persecuted the same way as Christ was on the cross. Does it seem right. Man law comes into play when God's law of love does not prevent until his revenge at the end or does it? Today let us address the unity of believers, the believer being one of faith, in one accord, but not always doing the same work of faith in regards to teaching, preaching, and so forth. Not everyone ministering the same way but the gospel being preached in one accord. Or as close to one accord it can get in this day and time. Not all study in depth before they speak, making errors that can but maybe not cost the church world members of faith.

Love without conditions, love with forgiveness, love with correction, love with hope, and love with mercy that was given to all of us when Christ died on the cross. Though God's will was followed to the cross, we have to ask ourselves is if it was our son how would we feel toward someone else. Yet with Jesus cry of forgiveness for the people, Jesus giving up his Spirit God departed and forgave the world. On the third Christ arose again. Renewing the hope of forgiveness, peace, and love.

Can we feed the hungry. Some believers are so poor their last bite might be their last and sometimes giving that last bite to a stranger reaps reward from heaven above. Elijah asked a widow to feed him and she had a son to feed, and yet upon doing so, she gain the ability to feed more and take care of herself and her son along with the prophet tell the famine was over. It not hard to give someone a glass of water, but it takes true compasion to feed and water your enemy, for doing so you shall heap coals of fire on his head. Your responsibility is to love as a believer. Revenge is God's.

I be trueful to give the same compassion has Christ to allow God's revenge is not easy. Maybe our enemy will be saved by our love, then our enemy no longer an enemy but a friend. There are however people that will be your enemy and still take whatever you give them. Yet love often wins some how, even if it is not your day of serving your enemy. It maybe the next believer to be the witness, but you began the cycle of the desire change in your enemies heart by the seed of faith planted by the will of God.

Love of God being greater then all sin, coming in the heart of all believers to love past our own ability. I say our own ability, more then the fake smile, it genuine love of God to care passed our own human ability. Unless that fact been tested you really do not know how much love you genuinely can pour out.

God's love is greatest gift he gave humanity, it the love that is stronger then being angry with a person when one should really be angry for a long period of time. There is time when we have to realize to show love is staying away to keep from causing problems in another person life or to cause you to sin. Meaning someone that broke your GI Joe you might decide it better to remain away then to allow him to have your newer GI Joe. Yet knowing if that someone truly needs help you probably give it all the same. Forgiveness does not mean we forget, it may go into the receases of our mind, after all we are not God, but it means we over look that sin and go on to better things in life to be better humans. Some of this healing takes time to over come to be able to love hurts inflicted on our inner soul. Yet it is possible with God's help. It helps to have other believers to encourage to continue to love. When often people say get out of the situation would be better. Yes sometimes I agree it is better.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the greatest gift of love even when our enemies surround us and only desire to tear us apart. Lord help us to demonstrate in love and peace with all mankind. Working toward the unity of faith with all believers as well. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: 1 Corinthians 13:1-7 KJV
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
