Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Romans 8:33-39 KJV
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

What is going in our world that Christians feel at times they are under attack. In America we are suppose to have freedom of faith. In out land of freedom we speak peace without think that the devil is going to do his best to try and trip us up. I having a bad morning. Yet even in my bad morning I can say who will seperate me from the love of Christ? shall triublation, distress, persecution, famine nakedness, peril or sword? In truth nothing can separated us from God's word until final judgment of anyone living. Can something separate us from the love of God. When we going through a trial and tribulation I guarantee we might genuinely feel like the wrath of God is upon us. We might feel that the yoke of pain in our life is far stretching into eternity, but it is not. How do you deal with things when the world seems upside down and inside out will wear on your humanity and your spirituality like nothing else well. And lets not leave the mental aspect of all things.

Trust in God is important to our knowledge that even in obstacles God is our provider, our protecter, our shield, our rock and so forth. We got to trust if we slip, if we falter, if we fall away, not in unbelief, but in struggles of life confused, mentally emotions and so forth God is able to bring restoration into our life. Job does not seem confused in the book of Job, but bewildered perhaps at his predictament because according to his knowledge he done everything correctly. In truth we might feel that way, and yet profess all the right things concerning who God is. Job did not deny who God was, he was not rationalizing in his plight as God would because he did not know the whole story, or that the test was from the enemy.

We struggle we fight, we lose our since of hope and yet hope remains in our inner being because we know that Christ rose again. Without that faith in that resurrection faith will not remain. Without faith that God's word is true, we will fall away. If we can not trust in the things God has said will be, we will struggle. As I continue to look at prices in the store and in our area, I know many poor are struggling and even middle class that pinch pennies. Some not able to give without a second job or survive without it. Some working long hours even in their retirement. It is the struggle of the basics in life that is hard what will be the next struggle? No one knows what any hour will bring, but we know what God can do. And we know what prayer and faith is all about or we think we do, no some of us are just about to learn about God in that wilderness as our country yo yos in prices and extremes. We know God is faithful to his people, and yet Paul was in chains and bitten by a snake. He lived to tell it. Stephen was stoned to death seeing the glory of God's throne above and around him with the angels.

What have we has believers committed to God but our life, we know that his love is there no matter what going in our life. No matter the struggles we endure. That the things we commit to God and the word of God we hold to is kept by the Holy Ghost, who dwells in us. Trust in him to hold you in his hand when you going through life difficulties. Life difficulties are common to humanity, not always about persecution, but humanity. Sometimes it is about persecution from the devil. "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and not with thy own understanding but acknowledge him in all our ways he will direct our paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6.)"

Dear Heavenly Father, you know our struggles you know are sufferings and we know to trust you, we must remember that what we have committed to you will hold because of your word. We commit what, our life to you. So hold us in the palm of your hand and help us live according to your will in Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: 2 Timothy 1:12-14 KJV
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.
