Luke 16:13-16 KJV
13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
14 And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.

No servant can serve two masters. Sounds like a problem developed in who is the authority in one life if you are serving two or more people. I learn many years ago that it hard to have two bosses as I was working and had two boss that would of like to have split me in half and make each half work for the other boss until they split that half as well. You can not split yourself to the point you serving two authorities in your life. Most might say will if you serve God how can you serve the law. Most of the time most laws are in some format serves God is subservient to the laws of God. Only time it is not, is when you do not have freedom of faith. No freedom to sing the praises of God or the freedom to bow to God in the middle of the street and must even be careful in your own home because you do not know who will betray you, even alexa computer systems might betray you. Is that awake up call to this new AI and new computer systems? I be truthful some developers are going to the point these things are no earthly good but for the Salem Witch trial manifesto. I will tell you the truth I am not against any computer technology that is to help aid people that are doing good things in our world, but I am against any technology that might be used in evil manner to entrap another living soul, in the since of saying a person was not really where they were but was or was doing this or that. Actually these capabilities have been around for awhile. However governmental powers or people in positions to allow betrayal when they can still identify the source of films and so forth is still more an issue then the technology itself.

Evil intent to justify your actions by falsehoods and lies will never get you anywhere. The truth will set you free always before your God but never before evil men that believe the lies more then truth, even with the capture of truth on film. The truth of the matter the rich get richer because they intangled by the desire of money and poor get rich only because their greed to get rich and fail with their needs and needs of others. Earn a dime today your neighbor will need it tomorrow or the same day. Beware of it. They know when you get a payday. They see you haul your groceries and ask do you have any spare change. The middle class try to help the poor get out of the rut and then serve the giants of our land serving two masters. Though they straddle the line often enough, how much sin falls in those lines to achieve their goals the world will never truly know. The guy that does a delivery job without knowing what in the box. They guy that stiff a guy a dollar bill counting change. They guy that tries to teach another person a lesson to stay away from whatever he involved in to make a few extra dollars knows the cost of what he is doing, but not willing or able to stop himself.

In general I like to believe people live peaceful live and go to work from 9 to 5 or similiar hours the 8 hour job that for others might be a 12 hour ship with four days off. and work four and off three. No one mines those type of hours if they know it be a longer weekend right? Yet we serve our home as well as our job. Some would say they serve their job first and then their home. Do not call me at work, do not call me until I am home, even if the world blows up around me. I walked into Walmart the other day and things were fenced off like the pandemic, and so I began to ask what was going on. It was simple they were just painting lines on the road. However it took talking to several associates to find out what was going on. My husband seeing clearly knew what was going on, but he was waiting for me in the car. There is a point to my madness.

Often we do not know what going on in the world around us, people are often working so hard to be where they desire to be in the world, they fail to realize what master they truly are serving. To serve mammon or money seems economically beneficial to most people but can serving God be equally beneficial or more benefical to human life. Jesus ask Peter in one of the stories in the New Testament go and fish and to pull out of its mouth a coin. On the coin is a picture of Caesar. Jesus wants to know who coin is it. He says give to Caesar what is Caesars. Most would ask has government read the story, then stop threathening to take away what tax payers money called Social Security. Give the people their pay that they paid into and realize it not enough to live on without a retirement. Most still working to make ends meet. Most people discovering they worked for the dollar all there life. Yet they serve not the money, but use the money to either serve their earthly desires that lead to hell or their home and faith.

Do you cut off the hand that helps feed you or do you serve it. Most of us wonder then who would cut off God because he made everything including the things we eat. Who can tell a seed to grow and it grow or nourish it with rain water beyond a water hose. There is nothing in our world that will satisfy the soul but Jesus. God's word coming to light and coming to pass in our everyday life. Yet if we see not the blessings of God and his word coming forth in blessings only judgment then is our ways evil, no God might be showing you something others see to teach you about your own short comings. You might be like Jonah who need a gore that grew into a plant, only to have a worm saw in half the next day in the heat of the day. That plant had covered you not only in the heat of the day but in cool of the night.

Are we cutting off our right foot so to speak to save our life, or to invoke justice that no long seems to work. Criminals get more powerful by the need of the source of their provision. Those that are righteous become strong by their faith in God. Faith in God will keep your nose clean. He will keep your feet from being moved from the solid rock of faith, Jesus. He will show the cost of sin in the world through judgment in our land and our area. He will show the blessings of the faithful to his cause.

What is God's cause? God's cause is to give to every man the gifts of the Holy Spirit who receives his word. God cause it to show the value of this world is not his value. The things he offer has greater value. God knows if people work their basic needs are often meet. He doesn't expect anyone to sit and do nothing all day. We are driven to activity in our life, disabled and able. We rise to embrace a new day especially if the world seem to be perfect at the moment, despite any illness, or discomforts. Why because when the sun is shining we feel better. When Christ light shines on our hearts we arise to a new day, knowing he lights our path no matter the trouble that befalls us in the day, and by evening hopefully all be well.

My question to you is this, what are you choosing today, a father that cares nothing about your beyond what you provide for his own lust and greed of his own soul or the Heavenly Father that desires good things for his people that follow his word. We make our choice in life to follow the things and word of God or to follow the things of sin that produces fast money and no intergrity in this life. You can have a cloak of righteousness like the religious leaders and be corrupt. How many in the church world are corrupt in our own hearts and minds.

We all desire things but what does that desire produce in our heart. The old saying we all want a million dollars, but what does that desire produce in us to achieve the million. Most people will earn a million or more before they reach retirement and how much money does it take to live through retirement. If you retire at 75 and you live to be a hundred then you have 25 years of life to live in poverty if you did not save well. What did you spend your working money on, people that were sick, and needed your help. People that needed a hands up or those that could give nothing back or all these type of people in your life. What did you gain, love, respect, hope that if you are in that situation you will be cared for. I tell you what you gain is hopefully God in his mercy will see your love that in your time of need mercy and grace will be given to you. That the time of struggle God comfort will surround you. Things of God are rich, but the only way it comes by making the world around you better. A community that cares is a community that has compassion for people no matter the situation, but they are not blind to the corruption and abuse that others will inflict on their charity.

God always wins, those seeking mammoth(money) and only money for greed thinking it will buy the care they will need in old age think again, it will buy the help, but will the help be any good. Will the help love you and care for you? I have seen some on the nursing staff in the medical world that care more then they should. They have more compassion then many would think possible even since cov 19. That compassion is it bought or genuine? In some cases it real and other cases it is bought and paid for with that salary.

We will never know the heart of those that give with greedy intentions. The one that buys a insurance policy from insurance company that planned to close account for the original purchaser to hope it be used to help when time of burial? Sounds like a plot if not all parties knew about it and theft occurred because account was not closed out. Greed for money stretching over time and willing to wait for that person demise.

The plots of evil in this world, only benefits those that are evil for in time. Evil will be completely destroy but love will remain. God's people surrounded by his love will remain, because they walked by the word of God and lived for Jesus. These people are not perfect for all sin and fall short of the glory of God. He that omits not his sin is condemned already. Those that confess there sin, God is faithful and just to forgive all sin. That means if you know your sinner and can omit it, then you are in trouble with God. If you can omit it to God you out of trouble. Which is either to stand in your shame or walk in the grace and love of God. It is your decision.

If God can feed Elijah by a raven, then God can feed all people in need of manna and quail in the wilderness of learning about faith. Yet faith had already arrived for Elijah, but had not arrived for the people in the wilderness completely. Can we trust God? I have been in a few deserts in my spiritual life where water was needed with application. Yet some valleys and deserts are easy to go through if one has been through it already.

Why had to go through things twice that life, we often go through similiar struggle and come out stronger the second time in our faith. Israel needed water more then once, a generation being born had to learn about faith as the generation without faith died off. Yet God supply was still available. Where are you in your journey. Are you trusting God. Are you fearful?

Dear Heavenly Father, help us to trust in your supply for the journey of faith that when we fail we need only to confess it knowing you love and mercy surrounds as your child. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
