Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

John 3:27-36 KJV
27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.
29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.
33 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true.
34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

James 1:17 KJV
17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Every good gift comes from heaven above. Man was not made in heaven, Woman however was made in heaven from a product of the earth below called man. To understand that Jesus came from above. He was the gift that God sent we must recognize he was not created being in the flesh in regards to being in heaven before his death and God's word did not become flesh but upon the earth. We think of God creating the heavens and the earth, but both are destructible by God and God has no destruction button that the world preceives or understand even spiritually. God being infinite his being always been we do not know how old God is or his origin or has man understands the word origin. Man will try and date the knowledge of God through cave and rock carvings. Try to define which tribe first recognized an existence of God. Is this important when man recognized there was a God, no because Adam and Eve had talked and walked with God in the heavenly realm though their created being were of the earth below. There spiritual being being created with the life flow of air in to their nostrils. Man had no concept of life giving ability without the first breath, man was just clay sculpture at this point. Air breath in gave man not only human life but a soul with in it. Was the soul God gave man corruptible, changeable, removeable? Yes, it was design for the earth with the ability to become reborn of God's Spirit.

When Paul talks of Jesus he talks in Romans 1 of Jesus being the seed of David. Being the offspring of David, something commonly believed by Rome and the people of the world. Belief that Jesus is more then seed of David comes from understanding who Jesus is both physically and spiritually as the word of God that became flesh through virgin conception by the spoken word of God. Jesus is born in the line of king David but in reality he is not of David lineage, not even in the flesh in a since. He is the perfect gift from above to man, but coming in their likeness of man. Human flesh being the shell of his Spirit, personification of his part in the Godhead bodily. David was not from above. He was of the earth.

Is it a lie to say Jesus was the son of David no because the believers of God understand that the Messiah would come through by travel into the blood line of King David. His origin being greater then the being he was created to be on earth. Flesh being corruptible, the word of God becoming corruptible for you and me in the flesh of the earth. Christ incorruptible shell coming through the cross and resurrection. His earthly body facing the punishment of sin which is death and rising up into his incorruptible body. Transformed into the body of eternal life, a body from heaven and no longer of this earth.

God's word never being incorrupible, but destroyed when in the hands of man kind. With God's ability to bring it back in fullness of truth. God's word coming from incorruptible place and God from the begining began to set corruptibility in a garden designed for it. God placed Adam in that garden in heaven. Adam sin he got cast out. Probably why God creating a new heaven and a new earth, a new Jerusalem. God is not destructible but we can not dwell in the place of perfection without being tempted and we can be incorruptible without the power of God in our life, meaning we must be born again spiritually to be able to walk in the perfection of Christ's light. We must die to have that incorruptible flesh as Christ died. It is bestow on the believer through faith in God, and repentance of sin. Our flesh being corruptible having to learn to yield to the temptation of our flesh. Our flesh tempted while upon the earth and even in the garden of Eden in heaven.

There are things made by God, he wants to call holy and righteous, but man had to want to be called these things and desire to be a child of God while in the flesh. Meaning desire to be holy and righteous by faith begins our ability to be spiritually born of God. Not of flesh but by God's Spirit that breaths the life of his Spirit into our soul. We welcome his Spirit to teach us all truth. To teach us to indwell in our hearts and dine with our soul. He writes on the walls of our heart sealing us. Man desires to have an infant and he grow up to write on the walls of his house. The writing on the wall of the house of man can be cleaned with a little water and the right detergent. The Spirit of God indwelling in our hearts when we receive Jesus as Lord and Savior shall not be removed. Why because it permanently writen in our hearts to help us obey God as believers.

The other day I was thinking how some of the buildings of Washington and other historical places have scripture recorded on it. As these buildings are restored some have designed them without the writing on the walls. Removing the history of faith from these buildings. That same building that man worked hard in the century those buildings were built. Each tellling a story of faith of the builder that is removed by our land. Where is freedom of faith going when it removed from historical places. God's laws being also removed from court houses. All buildings by man. Yet there is a wall being built with the handwriting of God upon it and that is the wall of heart and God's kingdom that marks us as a child of God, a stone in his kingdom with his markings. His handwritting on our spiritual heart.

Every perfect gift comes from above. Every gift of God is from heaven above. If you think of a jewelry box filled with all the jewels on rings and necklaces. And they are taken out and displayed on our very being. Some being more costly then we can pay in a month time and others comely or cheaply made. Yet the ones that cost the most being the ones of value because they were purchased for a purpose and not just everyday wear. Those everyday items can be pick up anywhere but costly ones can not be found but are in hidden in places on the earth. As a little girl goes through her mother's jewelry she knows not to touch the expensive ones but she can play with the common ones. Yet the little girl wants the one that is treasured by her mother and envied by his sister. These things when give is a like a gift that is far more valued then a simple candy bar, or a flowering plant. Yet it remains in the jewelry box tell the appoint time to be given to the little girl as a woman to wear for a special occasion and used for that purpose. The little girl not fully understanding the value or sacredness of the item until she is much older. God gives the gift of the Holy Spirit that is special jewel to be used for a specific reason. One gift of the Spirit is eternal life that can not be given until God's appointed time. God gift of love, hope and peace are gifts he gives too his children saved and unsaved, but they are gifts the world treasures even when they understand not that it comes from God. The jewel of faith are writen with instruction and is a seal on our very soul. Our bodies are corruptible but our soul is not from theminuted one is saved through faith in Jesus. Jesus being the one of precious jewel he gave man and the second being the Holy Spirit with salvation in Christ. Two jewels given upon faith in Jesus to help us bear our cross.

God creator of all things destructible like heaven and earth, but he is also the creator of all thing indestructible like our living soul designed for eternity of corruption without faith in Jesus, or eternity wth God through faith in Christ Jesus. Jesus being the greatest gift God could ever give man upon the earth also with his Spirit. We all have a form of godliness but is it cheap gold from God or is the real gem? When we love beyond our own ability and allow God to love through us that is the real gem. None of us are perfect and allow God to reign in our hearts this way, we are people of revenge, anger and even hate at times. Yet God's Spirit call us to love through his Spirit. The unconditional love of truth and hope only that is given by God. What kind of gems do you want out of God's jewelry box, treasures untold, or cheap imitation? You decide it is your choice. God did not design us to hate but to love. Jesus being the most special gem in the whole planet from the Father above hidden like a gem in the gold necklace in our human flesh and spiritual soul.

Dear Heavenly Father we receive your precious jewel through faith in Christ Jesus. Lord you have given us one more jewel the Holy Spirit to produce the jewels of faith in our heart and outward being. We thank you. Help us Lord to be worthy of the two gems in our inward being. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Romans 1:3 KJV
3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

John 1:1-14 KJV
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Hebrews 10:16-17 KJV
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
