The Entrapper Will Be Defeated 7/08/2023
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisPsalm 91:3-4 KJV
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
I wonder today how many know what it feels to be delivered from pestilence, what about the devil trap? If you saved you know that you free from the devil trap upon salvation for your soul. Devil wanted to hold you to this earth, but found he could not one day you will fly away to glory. Many people succumb to illness even with faith, but there times the believer walks in the shadow of diseases we do not even realize it. Our immune system walking through fire line means what it not our time to go, or not the way God declared one to go. What one truly needs to examine was the plague a judgment from God and was one on the salvation side. Let us not leave out miracles of God in the situation of disease caused by man.
Often we get entrapped in scripture without applying some simple truth to salvation. We are not exempt from the things of this world only the things that are caused by God in the form of destruction, illness, and any form of God wrath on unbeliever. If little Johnny has a cold I bet you catch it too if he sneezes on you. However if God gave Johnny the plague of the 22 century you might live to tell it even if you shake hands or kiss Johnny if it the wrath of God causing the plague of the 22 century. Are we living in the fear of death by God or by man. If you live in fear of the wrath of God you really need to get saved. You really need to ask Jesus to be your Savior. If you are living in the world and in the middle of disease central, you probably will get sick at some point. Doctors in hospitals catch things from their patience and have to take medicine too from time to time. They not exempt because they are in the medical field. We need to pray for them. However disease come and go. If you walked in hospital during COV-19 how did it make you feel if you were not the patient knowing that disease was at the door. We walk in the valley with diseases as being a stumbling stone, but not one that can not be destroyed or walked around, removed, and even tossed away, These types of sticks and bramble in the pathway are just everyday life. The entrapper wants to ensnare or devour you in your walk with the Lord. He has no power to do so, so he works hard against those people that might and have the potential to get saved by using them in your pathway with all kinds of lies that cause people to fall away from God, to struggle, to even stumble along the pathway of faith. God is like a mother swan and wants to place you under his feathers and under his wing one learns to trust in God. It is in our salvation of our God that we learn to trust in God blindly. That wing is our covering from the dark domain, that causes trouble and darkness of death. Instead we walk through trouble sometimes not able to see, because of the wing of the Lord. Our job is to ride in the shadows of his wings. To ride in his protection to trust in him. God's truth will be our buckler and our shield all the days of our life as we trust in the him. If God has spoken to your heart about something, you need to understand that the trial you going through you will survive to reach the hope ahead. Joseph was imprison and yet as a boy bow, he seen his family in a dream bow to him and next thing you know several years down the road God leads Joseph to interpretation Pharaoh dream, and he became a ruler in Egypt. What do you think happen, Joseph family bowed to him because of the famine being so great in the land of Egypte and surrounding areas. The road to get there was painful and hard, but in the end it was for a greater purpose. To walk the road of harshship means there must be something better ahead, either for us or our offspring, we do not always know. Your journey may not be like Moses, Abraham, Noah, and so forth and so on. However these men if you think on it did not have it so easy. Hannah was blessed, and Mary was heart broken for two full days, on the third she rose right up and declared his son was alive. Ruth walked in proverty with her mother in law to find a good fellow, who cared for both her mother in law and her.
Following in Christ footsteps to do the will of God to be more then one thinks they can be, because of the power and protection of God. Not all great men and women were wealthy or inherit wealth, but it seems to me that the hope was greater then whatever they were working or going through. In life whether rich, poor, or middle class, the job God has design for you may not be wealth, but it is running the race of faith God sets before us and trusting in his power to deliver these promises of hope to us. Each person has a walk of faith and testimony of faith. What will our testimony be when we reach the Promise Land of faith. I sure we will all have a few good laughs and many cries of joy as we worship our redeemer because he lives not just in our hearts but in our eternity.
Dear Heavenly Father, you are the Great I am, you spur us on in faith, even when the going gets rough, because of your promises. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
Continual Scripture Study: Ruth 2:12 KJV
12 The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.
Hebrews 6:11-20 KJV
11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:
12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,
14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.
16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
