Messiah Personified 7/07/2023
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisPsalm 91:1-2 KJV
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
This Psalm follows a Psalm of Moses and so the Psalm is often taken to be perhaps one of Moses songs, but in reality it could of been David as well. In this passage the Messiah is clearly seen for he dwelleth in the secret place of the most High and shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. Almighty speaking of God, to dwell in the secret part of God would and could only be his word, and yet in the flesh the word is the Messiah who while on earth dwells in the shadows of the Almighty. This Psalm is a depiction of God's protection over his word to us. Yet we look at the cross and struggle witht he protection of God allowing his Son to die. A demonstration that his word could and would live on, despite what man would do to his word. God's word spoke the protection of the believer. We must trust that even if dead we will be resting in habitation of the Lord. That he will raise us back up to sit in the heavenlies with Christ Jesus.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your precious word, that your word is true and you are our refuge and our my fotress as I walk through this life and the life to come with you. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
