God So Loved
2/04/2023

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

John 3:16 KJV
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

I want to talk about something most will not talk about in regards to God's love. God was willing to do what because he loved us? He was willing to give his only Son, in hopes that man would not perish, but have everlasting life. If we only look at one verse in scripture and this was it, and you know nothing else about Bible what would you see in this verse. God was willing to give something so man would not perish but live for eternity. What he gave was his Son, the first begotten in his authority coming as his Son. Knowing what else I know in scripture I know his authority he gave has always been his word to man to protect man, this time his Word was coming in the flesh to man.

Now If I wanted to produce love in my life, what must be key? truth, soundness of my word having meaning beyond just words, if I had a child could I give the child to the world? It is like casting one pearls before swine. Or feeding my child to wolves. Or let go further and throwing my child into a lions den, or on to a snake hill with the most poison snakes in the world, without regard for the life of the child.

When God gave his Son, he did not throw him to the lions, wolves, snakes or swine. He laid him in the arms of devout people who had worshipped him for years and years. These people who believed that knew the value of God's word when it came to obeying the word of God. Yet there were problems in the ranks of God's people, the love of money, the love of power and the love of self had corrupted their ability to care for the sheep in the same way that God cared for the sheep. He had sent prophets to his leaders. Though they did not kill them the kings of baal did. There authority of God's word did not always preserve the prophets, there was sacrifice of the prophet before God sent his Son. God had correct Israel in their evil ways with their exile from their promise land. When they returned they were not independent by the opposition to God's authority. Yet even so the love of God melt the believers heart. When God seen his love was still prevailing despite the punishment and correction, he left them in place of learning if they would only hear. Yet they become comfortable in the world, that their ministry was now about getting along with the world instead of standing up for faith and the way's of God. They had not loved the world as he had in regards of sharing his word of value, that when he sent his word even the heathens had heard the prophets through the believers in exile, but necessarily the leadership.

The other day Franklin Graham had a post, follow me if you believe the word. I rather follow Jesus, but I agree with the word, meaning, Rev Graham by photos is a good minister and minister of faith. Solid in the word when he preaches, but does that mean you follow Franklin, or do you follow Jesus. Israel was following the Priesthood and Jesus in the days of Jesus. They heard the word when they went to the temple, and left not seeing the actions of the priesthood. I do not know the actions of Rev Graham or other ministers once outside their ministry that is seeable. Yet I know what the word of God says and I can agree that it is most precious and valuable to the human soul.

Jesus was living among the people, doing the will of father, with healing, ministrying by works through his power and authority and yet many laid sick and the priesthood seem to have no authority or power to heal them. The lame walked and the blind did see, and lepers were made well. Jesus establish faith in many on miracles and wonders alone that the word came and fell on ears of those that would hear and listen, but because it was what was taught in the temple, they had no idea what the priesthood was plotting in regards to getting rid of Jesus. Though it was routine stuff, like netting over cups to keep flies out, also became more important then giving a cup of water to those in need of water without the netting to keep the flies out. The tradition out weighing the need of the people. The people plucking corn on the sabbath chastized for eating food on the Lord's day, that they worked for by literal just picking an ear and eating it like an apple.

Yet God so love the world he sent his Son in the middle of people with the word, to what establish the difference between snakes, lions, swine and wolves. In truth his word was the value and the action of us that carry the word was often people with knowledge and unbelief in the key to the kingdom they held, or without understanding of the word. in order to obey it believing the traditions and the word using the traditions was all their was to religious action of faith. The legalism of religion, without the faith, yet with the knowledge of faith without understanding.

Jesus was placed in the arms of the believers who practiced their faith upon hearing of the word. The word not dead in Joseph's and Mary's life, but living in their hearts as the baby was born to them according to the word of God. Many people trust the word of our government the word of our churches. Does our government or our church fail a person first. What did not fail, the word of God. God sent his only begotten Son so that whosoever believed in his Son and his word would not perish, but have eternal life. You can believe the preacher, but he can not save you beyond providing you with the information on how to be saved. His power and authority if from God is the same authority in which you must believe in to be saved, but his man's power had only the power of his actions and his word in action on earth. The authority of Christ that heals man. When we pray and ask in Jesus name, that same authority gives the power for man to be delivered. Yet when deliverance does not come it is a lack faith, sin or something else we understand not like timetable for healing. We standing believing but are we asking for deliverance. Are we believing Jesus is able to still heal today?

God's love laid his Son among the vipers, snakes, the swine and the lions, and yet his word guided his life into adulthood and in his journey as minister and friend to all that believe and received his word as truth. He came teaching us how to live, despite the action of others. Jesus feed not only hungry, but he provide the works of harvest with labor of a supply of fish, a provision or supply of work. I do not doubt when those fishing boats came in that the family gather and help tend to the fish they had caught. They had done the part of bringing work back to those on shore. Do I know that for a fact. We know James and John's father was listed as one of the fishermen but he did not go running after Jesus. He had work to do.

God's supplies the love through work, through faith the word to be handed out. The miracles of boats that were loaded of fish came not only supply but the strengthening of faith. Yet the priesthood could not duplicate these miracles. These disciples had no fear of going without supply to witness, because they were trusting in supply Jesus said would come. Jesus supplied while he walked this earth for these disciples that were learning the trade of sharing the Gospel from the living of testimony of the word of God in the flesh. How many believe God can supply. Many place Jesus went to could return to in just a simple day trip of one of disciples homes. Look on your Bible map.

One of our needs is salvation, God loved the world, he also declare man was evil in this world that he sent his word first before the flood, so man might believe, but only 8 were saved. The second time he sent salvation would be through his Son. He rose again to walk the earth and testify of the power of God after his crucifixion. The grave could not hold the power of God's love and keep his beloved Son in the grave. His resurrection testifying of eternal life and his love for man.

Our key to the kingdom is faith in Christ, faith in the word of God before Christ that God was sending his Son. God sent his word to Noah to save him, and all that would hear and believe. Noah's family were the only ones to believe. His salvation for Noah was for people of the world to repopulate and to learn to believe in him and his salvation. HIs salvation for eternity was known before Jesus. Those that seen it knew of it, and those that understood that heaven and the place God lived for eternity was not of our earth or our heaven as we preceive it, but way beyond the blue sky.

We see space and the hope of future on other planets without knowledge or understanding of eternity without faith in God. Is God habitation further out then our rocket ships can travel or satelites. We know Christ ascended up to his Father, the disciples seen him go. Yet we see the idea of space and we wonder how far he traveled. Our understanding is finite and our understanding of God's love is infinite, and yet the things of our universe seem huge. Where is God?

God is in the heavens, his Spirit hover over the heavens and the earth. HIs Son ascended up, to a place and habitation man knows not other then it is only upward. Our space crafts can not reach God, I do not doubt man has not thought they could still reach God on their terms some how. As a believer we trust in the incarnated Son of God, the Son that rose into incorruptible flesh, seen by disciples and they ever could touch the nail scarred hands. Yet man seems to not know where the Beulah land is or the direction to get there. As a believer. I am going to tell you the way beyond the blue is love. The way beyond our sky to reach our Savior is love. Greatest directional map is love. That same love that God had for the world, that he was willing to warn them of destruction to come, and give them the hope of eternity. However we must become a believer to have the road map of the love of God instill in our hearts to want to pass it on as part of sharing who God is. The God of love.

Dear Heavenly Father, you so loved the world you sent your word and then your word as your only begotten Son in the flesh and gave us eternal life through cross of Christ that anyone that should beleive in Jesus would be saved. Help us to love as Christ loved us. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
