Change By God's Word 12/27/2023
Daily Devotions: by Christina Farris2 Corinthians 5:17-21 KJV
17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.How changes does a person go through striving to be a better person, to fight to achieve a goaled, or just emerse oneself in idea and apply to one's life style they desire in hopes of a new begining a new way of doing things for positive change. I myself have tried diets including going vegetarian for a season an it did work. I watch cooking shows to help with diet changes even down to removing fat with a defattening cup from broth of a piece of boil meat. I did the extreme workout help me feel good but did little for loosing weight and my last effort I gained all the weight back, I had lost walking it off. Now I went through crafting stage, that one remained with me. I tried drawing but though I have some talent not something I do everyday. Tried sports and decided that best to leave to the pros. Tried music some talent but no dedication to it. I nevered tried anything to strange and probably good because of the cost. I love caring for my pets but in truth none these were as life changing as Jesus.
Any discipline activity will strengthen work ethics, but it will not make you like the work field you are in. People are people of habit. They get up the desired hour, go to work, and some how return home to repeat the process in common sense fashion and there are trillions of people doing this everyday. Unworking for what ever reason set there own schedule based on habit or ability to be succesfully at sometimes just resting. People try all kinds of religions that teach even very structure lifestyles to the point instead of freedom and tranquility it brings about frustration and need for liberty. The tranquility coming from ritual state of mind. Yet these things may bring consistency it can not bring peace and joy.
God sent the world the most precious gift he could to help man understand the way of love and his love for them. He sent his word spoken first, then his word in the flesh as his Son and then his word spoken to our Spirit about need for salvation through faith in Christ first and the need for us to strive to obedience of God's Spirit has we learn to walk by faith and not by sight has new creatures of faith in his Son Jesus. We now know because of faith our eternity is set upward toward them pearly gates and not downward toward fire that meant only for destruction and not purification or sanctification. You want change try faith in Jesus and learn to do things by his Spirit and not by some long list of demands and structure. Go by one spiritual law called love that is love of God and other's as ourselves. Christ wants to change us, to enable us to be more then we hope to be for his glory and honor when we allow him into our spiritual and human life. Then he calls us to use our talents to be ambassadors for him sharing the peace and hope we find through Jesus.
Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for sending your Son Jesus to bring us love, peace and joy. In Jesus precious name, Amen. Continual Scripture Study: Romans 14:17-19 KJV
17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
