What Would You Do If God Asked You? Lesson 13 8/13/2023
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisMark 13:1-14 KJV
1 And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!
2 And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,
4 Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?
5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:
6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.
8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.
9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.
10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.
12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.
13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
We live in a time when all kinds of things happen in our world that will shock you, or you be numb to the events. How one is numb hopefully it from shock of the situation and nothing more, because the reality of end times being upon us and no one understands for the church has literally preached it for decades to the world. It time to show them how some thing have already been taken place. How other things are yet to be. One the best tools to studying prophetic words of Christ is also to study even Old Testament concerning end times. Yes Old prophets of old spoke it. Some of things we see times is yet to come. Yet those things that are happening is also a warning that no one knows the hour that Christ will return but every eyes will see him and every tongue will confess Jesus Christ is Lord to glory of God. Some of the crying out of the earth is in praise to God, some of the stones are said to be crying out because man refuses to praise God.
Are we in a place with all the devastation around that we can not praise God, the answer is no, yet the world watches and are numb by the events that do not effect them immediately. Jesus asked his disciples do you see these great building and he said not one stone would be left upon another? Does any one ask did this even happen only to look in to history and know when Jerusalem was demolished not one stone was on another. The problem with only knowing only Old Testament and New Testament is we loose what has occurred since. The Gospel through Revelations speak of persecution of the saints, had it not occurred and has it not stopped around the world. One sign of end times, that much is still going on of events to follow the risen Lord.
What we can understand is the cross began end times, end times were present with his coming. End times continue into the here and now, and that perhaps why many do not believe. We speak the word end times only for many to wonder is this the day of Christ return not fully grasp the world will continue on until every word of prophesy is fulffilled. Paul says don't cease prophesy. Paul hopes for the mercy of the world will have time to repent. Yet he not God. Every ministers ask for mercy. Every minister cries out beware of end times. Yet do we look to see what end times have gone on before us. Are we watching a clock. Zechariah 14 it speaks of living water going out from Jerusalem. Yet has it occurred not yet, but the time when it occurs is when the sun does not set and light shine forth out of the New Jerusalem. Christian church believes this is in the New Jerusalem that comes down from heaven. This is where there is no night in scripture. We know that there is a new heaven and a new earth. These things have yet to be. It is the things that have yet to be is light to the things that occur. Rumors and storms will come and go, and things will pass with and without our knowledge. Without reading about End Times and the warning to both the believer and the world the prophesy will still exist and not cease from happening. When we see things happening in our word propheticly we know Christ's word is very clear, but is some of these prophesy done by man, in the since of persecution of the church, but not the prophecy concerning earthquakes. There will be a great earthquake like the world has never seen before. We had an earthquake in Virginia that went to Maine can not remember where it began but it traveled Northward. Though it be just a little quake deep within the earth it was greater then the surface quake. When major earthquakes seem to begin to rock the United States this century most of us could not imagine the devastation left behind. Yet had earthquakes occurred before this time, the answer is yes. They first shaking over 20 years began in sunny California I think during a baseball game. It had national attention. People began to storm watch all over the world and saying end times are here. Yet we fail to see all these things are about the growing pains of the earth, from twisters, to typhoons, to cyclones, to hurricanes and more. When God's people are not praising God the earth will cry out and praise God. There has been storms with little lives lost and other storm where many lives are not lost.
Jesus ask do you see these great buildings and say there even a time of destruction for these great buildings. Buildings by the hand of man will not stand. Yet Jesus is speaking of something more the temple destruction is not complete because the building of God is God's people. Jesus did not come to destroy the Jews but to save them, just like he came to save the gentiles. The buildings of God is the people and these buildings will not be destroyed though the enemy will try to destroy them. The division comes with not believing the word of God or the prophecy within it being God's holy word spoken by the holy men and women of old. It is easy not to believe prophesy even with it being right before us. Yet the move Christ in your life will allow you to see the evidence of the prophesy of today being as true today as it was when first spoken meaning Old Testament at the time of Daniel, time of Isaiah, Jeremiah, and so forth, even earlier then that. Jesus is teaching in the New Testament the prophesy to come, not just words he spoke at the time of his presents, but of time past yet to be fulfilled. Be afraid of the author of prophecy if his name is God, Christ or the Holy Spirit but do not be afraid of the anti christ that will speak not only lies but some truths, for he will be defeated by the word of God as promised in Revelations. Hold to the precious word of God.
Dear Heavenly Father, the word of truth speaks loud to us even today as the world cringes with each devastation in our world, and yet they know not these things must come to pass and speaks the coming of Christ. Let believers not cease from prophecying for the very stones will cry out, In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Zechariah 14:6-9 KJV
6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.
8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.
