Jesus Will You Make Me Whole?
09/17/2022

Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Matthew 8:1-3 KJV
1 When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.
2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

I do not talk about healing scriptural to much beyond speaking of a person is made whole. I think because it takes faith to be healed. It takes understanding who the healer is, and to know it is God's will for everyone to be healed. The other day I was told any medicine prescribed for my asthma would not probably be covered by insurance. The medicine I was taking is not producing side affects. My asthma is not severe so I trying something over the counter, to see if it will help, otherwise I have to pay a high prescription cost which will probably will not happen. Now when you in that boat, you look at your situation and say Lord what must I do to be healed, or what will break the chains of the disease.

Is it enough to believe one is going to be healed at some point in one's life, whether on this earth or next to be willing to wait for God's timing. Even the Leper went to Jesus and said "Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. Jesus said to the leper, "I will, be though clean". Many believe Jesus can heal him, but he did not know if his day of healing was today. How long we wait for healing is not known. Would healing today or tommorrow ever change God's ability, Christ ability, and the ability of the Holy Spirit power to heal? The ability of God to heal does not change when he does not heal immediately.

Is our ability to not receive healing do to a lack of faith? Those that know I been healed and delivered more then once know it not a lack of faith. Is it God's will at the present time for one to be healed. How many days had the lepered walked with leprosy? We do not know. How many days did the leper seek God for healing and when Christ came passing by he ran up and asked in person if Jesus was willing to heal. I guarantee God is willing to heal, but is it on his side of eternity or in the here after? For the Leper healing came immediately. There is not a set time frame for healing. I fell and fracture my Tibia in 2005 I think that was the year it might of been 2006. Doctor did not cast it. If he cast it I probably land up having surgery. I walking around on two crutches, and riding wheel chair and also those electric chairs when I went out. I was not concern it would heal, I was concerned I would make the injury worse. With these type of injuries we know time will heal the injury usually. It a disease like Leprosy that makes one wonder if there is any hope for someone. The only hope was Jesus at the time, and even still today.

Can you imagine walking up to DR Jesus and say if you are willing you can heal me? Sometimes that is exactly what we like to do when we not feeling good is say if you are willing heal me today, Lord. Yet when the response is not this moment, do we find ourselves dishearten. Are we willing to believe even when we receive not from God the very thing we desire? Are we willing to wait for the day of healing? God promises all believers a day of complete healing in Revelations 21. Everything we know of this world will be removed from us. The illnesses, the sorrow and the pain.

As a believer the wait is not always easy, but God is will to provide in times of struggle, heartache, pain, sorrow and illness. He provides patience, hope and even strength when going through health issue. Through our health issues God can teach us faith, endurance, and even strengthen our ability to push on though life. Illness should never be a curse, if God use it to teach us hope, trust, and God's mercy in healing.

What then if God is able to use hardship, curse of disease for his glory and honor, can we bare the burden until the day of God's healing after our death. God's healing in the mist of the storm. God's healing in a form of mercy, God strengthen in times of hopelessness. God's forgiveness in time of spiritual sickness that is for today and everyday of our life, until we reach heaven.

Will today be your day of healing? I want everyone healed, but God does not work that way. The man beside the pool of Bethesda. Lying on mat, waiting not only for the water to move but someone to carry him down to the pool. When and if he ever reach the water he believed he would be whole as others had been. How many days had he waited for a miracle in his life when Jesus passed by and healed him. How about the man born blind? Fifty years before the man could see. If it not God's timing then healing will not occur, are you going to still glorify God for your future healing?

Dear Heavenly Father help us to understand your healings of miracles are blessings, but our non healing and a time of wait is also for your glory and honor to teach, to strenghten our faith by your Spirit. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Psalm 103:1-3 KJV
1 A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Revelation 21:4-5 KJV
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
