Trangressor 09/10/2022
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisIsaiah 53:12 KJV
12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Jesus before the cross was not at trangressor to man. Though he made the Priesthood/Pharisees/Sadducees angry and even a lawyer sad once that is recorded, he knew no violence. Jesus healed, and did many wonderful works in the eyes of man. However on the day of the insurrection, the worse he did was turn over the money tables, because it descrated the Temple in Jerusalem. For God's house was not to be a den of thieves. By man's laws Jesus sin, but God's law Jesus protected. By man's laws he would face the consequences of sin. No he died because a murder went free, but on trial for insurrection. He died because of those that took one act of turning over the tables and it caused insurrection to occur. He bore the sins of many that day. He was label a sinner to be crucified.
Jesus was bruised for us, he was crucified for us. God showed he still love his Son, because he obey God even on the cross. Jesus forgave on the cross, but the proof of forgiveness could be achieve was through the resurrection. He would divide the inheritance with the strong. One has to ask what does it mean to be strong. To achieve the inheritance. It not to back down in one's belief despite the cost. Can you stand your ground in faith, and truth. Standing takes no action beyond not bowing to the devil. Yet it appears he bow to man, but he only bowed to the will of God, that said on the third day he would raise the temple up. God's Spirit lifting up Christ and restoring him in power and in truth.
No other human was ever God, Christ thought it not robbery to consider himself God. Who was Christ but God in appearance of human flesh. In the destructibility of flesh. He made himself into the likeness of man to be able to die like man. For this reason he had to die as man, but be shown his power when he rose the third day. He took the Sabbath off what can anyone say. He was demonstrating if you obey him and believe in him you will rise again. Both are necessary. We must carry our own cross of obedience to God to reap the reward of faith. To obey God we receive the inheritance of not only eternal life but a new home. Our reward is not having to face an eternity in the fiery pit. A place of torment and pain. Our reward of happiness and eternity with joy to all believers. Joy begins the day of salvation, but eternal joy is probably even greater because the promise is now seen in its reality.
We all sin and all fall short of the glory of God scripture declares. The hope comes through Christ because he propiator/lawyer for our sins. He claims his work on the cross before the Father paid it all. Devil has no more argument. Until our physical death, or until Christ return we learn to walk obeying Christ and the Holy Spirit in our personal life. We can not die an save anyone but might save a soul physically, but not spiritually. No doubt the thousands of maryters bore the cross, their testimony speaking they were willing to die for the cause, but none could take away our shame. Yet Christ takes away our shame, our transgressions. He purges our hearts to enable us to obey God. Giving the ability to not adhere any longer to the will of man, but to obey God all the way to the cross. Letting your light shine for Jesus, living in faith, to not be found with fought. Remember when you fail that light no longer as bright to the world. David fail caused his light/star to shine so bright. Our failings also shows God's mercy at times, but let us not strive to fall to receive mercy, but to strive in faith and good works to not put Christ to shame.
One day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. The time of Christ is now, not next year, or whatever you are waiting on, the decision for Jesus is now. Salvation is now.
Dear Heavenly Father, help us follow you in truth. Help us to believe and to follow you and Jesus in faith and truth. Lead us by your Spirit. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
Continual Scripture Study: Philippians 2:6-16 KJV
6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedientunto death, even the death of the cross.
9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and thigs in earth, and things under the earth;
11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings:
15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured I have not run in vain.
