Daily Devotions:
by Christina Farris

Colossians 1:12-17 KJV
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Most of scripture would be said if you haven't experienced or have not had the pleasure of knowing God this way, why doubt it? Only because there are people that will speak untruth about religious experience for profit and gain. There those in power to keep from loosing power that will speak of experiences to gain their power back because of their following. Then there people that experienced many things and do not testify about it, because of unbelievers and Spirit will not let one speak concerning it.

Enoch was translated Genesis 5 and Hebrews 11. In other words standing in those pearly gates without having physically died. Genesis records Enoch has walking with God and God translated him to heaven. It is important to note to read this one assume he physically did not die because he walked with God but God took him. Hebrews said God translated him and it was said that he was a man that pleased God. Without faith it is impossible to please God. God is rewarder of those that seek him.

Isaiah at the altar sees the throne of God and knows his lips are unclean, and yet he has faith. Isaiah translation took place without death or staying in the heavenlies. Some of us remained and experienced what Moses and the elders in the wilderness experienced with eating from the banquet table of God. Isaiah was one of them.

I have concluded in my life there is a reason for this type of experience. Elders would of had faith even in the wilderness journey, and their hope may of rested on this experience despite the younger generation who lacked faith. It was the hope they need to know that in this life there was more in eternity.

Isaiah was going into exile, and his experience came with knowledge he would preach during all the events to come. His hope rested on what he experienced and not something he could reveal to anyone, but could only testify. And who probably knew the Priesthood, and for anyone that would read Isaiah testimony of events to follow. He would testify of the hope of Israel, in a time when exile was eminent. That the devil was rising in the land and hope had to be testified about, and that hope was Jesus. That hope was the word and prophesy to come.

The seventy elders of Israel older men that did not go into the tent with Moses prophesied outside the camp. They needed not the tent experience they were already walking by the Spirit of God. Peter, James and John experienced that tranfiguration and yet it began before the cross giving hope, but it yet it would not be understood not until the resurrection. The experience to get you from point A to point B. From earth to eternal home. One would think the day of salvation would be enough and for those that are saved and just babes in Christ I agree that the only experience you really need once one has grabbed a hold of Jesus. Yet there are things that we experience in life as ministers, teachers, and workers of faith that tell something else, in our walk with God, that despite what comes we will still be standing in faith, because our experience is greater then the things of this world. God speaks to the inward man, and beckon one to obey to yield and to believe.

Translated like Moses, elders, Isaiah, Peter, James and John or translated like Enoch is experience that you need not to be afraid, not without reverence to God the Father, but without fear of damnation as Isaiah was. A believer is cleansed by the blood of Jesus. As believer in Christ our sins are covered by his blood and we are washed white as snow. Isaiah got his lips purged, we got our sins purged from our hearts upon the day of salvation. There believer is translated from the kingdom of this earth to the kingdom of heaven spiritually, without understanding. Jesus bridge our hearts from the earthly world to the heavenly world. We might live in this world, experience the things of this world, but a new director is in our heart to teach us to walk in his way, called the Holy Spirit and the Word of God who his Jesus. Christ Spirit being the same spirit of God the Father. The one spirit that unites Father and Son for eternity, prior to eternity as well. That same spirit as believers dwells in our hearts that we no longer need to fear death, but to humbly walk with God, because it pleases him when we walk with the him both here and in heaven. We are in the flesh and we will do those things of the flesh and need to turn away from those things that are not beneficial to us as a believers.

Jacob seen the ladder to heaven and angels going up and down the ladder in Bethel. He was not sure he serve God unless God returned him to Bethel, the ladder was his, the bridge was his, but he could not grab hold without experiencing his own journey of hope of a return meaning restoration.

God allows you to be restore after a journey, even though his presence never left, it saying one thing, he carrying you in your journey, watching over you, so when you get to that place of needed restoration of faith, the belief is there to carry you back into a place of restoration. These experience of faith that are deeper then our understanding. My earliest experience of faith for me was always growth in spiritual truths, experience of God speaking spiritually. Some of these experiences were in the flesh before God. Moses was, and Isaiah was in the Holies of Holies where in the throne room the vision was reality perhaps. Probably felt like he was still in his body. Whether he totally was or not, I do not know, but I know he experience the throne room. If God's people even disciples experienced these things. Revelation a book that John wrote of his heavenly experiene/visions and Paul vision of Christ. Then it possible even today. Perhaps it not spoken about, do to the question and argument of events or if it really happened. For the believer, there no derailing the true experience. The fake ones are often lessons to know that their is fakery out there. The devil roaming always flaunting his glory, that short lived. God presents in his earthly glory is seen even his creation and only magnifies it through the storms and restoration for man to know his power to over come even destruction.

An actor on a video, or pic I seen not even sure now, but he was saying I can see that moon in the sky and was reminded of God. Even in the city you can if the city streets are dark enough that the lights do not take away the moonlight. Moon is full once a month and yet the beauty of God's creation is real when we look at his magnificent work. Are we blind, to our experience with God. I can remember working at a camp, and seeing a rock the size of a football field when close up, but distance the campers could see it, it looked only the size of maybe a house in the distance. When one looked upon it, it was like God was saying just be still and know who I am.

Our faith is not in the rock on the side of a mountain, it is God in heaven, who sees all, and reminds us to be still as a rock, and to listen and not speak. To know him in the stillness of even the night. To be still in the day, and listen to him. To be still and be solid in faith, hope and love. It is hard to do. One wants to move, jump, shout, go about life and not be still to listen even for a few moments of the day. To be still and to know God, is to be willing to listen to his still small voice.

Dear Heavenly Father, move our faith into a direction we can not turn back from your glory, or your honor as you are not only coming King but our King of our hearts and soul. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

Continual Scripture Study: Genesis 5:24 KJV
24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Hebrews 11:5-6 KJV
5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Isaiah 6:1-13 KJV
1 In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple.
2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly.
3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
5 Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts.
6 Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar:
7 And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged.
8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
9 And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.
10 Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed.
11 Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,
12 And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.
13 But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.
