Glory Of God The Father 6/25/2022
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisMatthew 6:9-13 KJV
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the Kingdom and power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Matthew 6:13. I often wonder about certain words in scripture that declares that Jesus is above every name, and that his power must remain until all is in submission to him, when I examine the Lord's prayer. If we going to talk about glorifying the Father, why does it seem Jesus is servant position here as Son and not equal to God the Father when praying? His position later declared by other ministers in their letter writtings. This is maybe easier to explain why equality is not seen here, because Christ was made a little lower then the angels in his authority and power when he walked the earth. Its not that he did not have all power, his limitation was because of the vessel he was in human flesh. It like asking someone to be a regular worker before giving them title of manager though they seem to have the acting authority when the boss is away. Yet his authority is stiffled because of a lack of permission because the title of manager is not given to him. He got rules as not a manager he still has to follow though if he had the authority of manager with title he could do more.
Jesus power stiffled, perhaps, because in truth if he could of done whatever he wanted how many people would of been healed without faith. How many people would have been following Jesus besides the after work crowd. There was a time people worked from 5AM in the morning to 5 PM at night. Yet there was always people during the day as well. Gathering of people all day long depending on their work perhaps around Jesus. People with disabilites coming during the day because they could not work, yet may able to get around enough to present themselves to Jesus, and he would heal them. We see this time theory only in theory, but in relations to how men and women work today. Some of these disabled would of shopped and barter during the day, going from one trade to another, doing errands of their families. Elderly doing this job as well.
We want to think computers have made our life easier but in reality you trying to deal with a business online and it takes the whole fifteen minutes of your lunch break just to get sign in, you lost your lunch and your time frame to get extra things done. Big deal, no because you work from 9-5 and the place closes at 3, to take a five minute break won't even get you sign in to that business, and call them on the phone and you might as well forget it, because the wait is far to long. This is the new reality, and yet disabled and older generation would go into the village, check with the business owner, and the job or task complete. All in a days work, during normal business hours.
Jesus authority means there is no sleeping when in the glory of heaven? We must grasp at some point if God does not need, rest, Jesus definitely rested in the flesh. after all he was caught napping in the middle of a storm. He had to get up to calm the storm. Jesus when he calmed the storm he had authority to do so, for the wind and waves obeyed him. Yet the glory and reverence of God the Father is clear in the prayer in Matthew. Christ power under the authority of God the Father. We must ask why, would the world been able to kill him if he had used the power that was rightfully his. Christ had to lay down that power, to do the will of God. Yet he knew God would raise him back up. At any moment he could of called ten thousand angels. His power not given up, but laid down for you and me as Christ goes to the cross. God definitely took a day of rest to enjoy his creation, for on the seventh day he rested. Why does not Christ rest in heaven. Christ represents in the flesh the word of God and the authority of his word. Even if man destroys it, he is able to restore his word to the world. Christ in the flesh, restore in the flesh, but transformed into incorruptibility. Christ authority reestablish/ risen up in orignal authority he had to do God's will, with no longer laying down his power, for he rose in victory above the angels into heaven and man and sat beside God the Father.
God does not demonstrate all his power or authority to his children, though it on display in his creation and his will for our lives. Meaning if he intervened what would we learn, what would his authority and power be, but constant control of our life. God gave man free will even in the garden. That free will caused original sin, and also is the one marker, of God's power causing us our destruction, because of free will. And so he give us his son out of love for you and me, and redeems us to our rightful place as friend of God when we believe, and yet we required by faith to take up that cross and follow Jesus in faith. If understand what it means to follow Jesus to obey his word, to follow humbly before him. We never own the authority of Christ, but we carry the word of God in our hearts, and hopefully outwardly in the things we do as people of faith.
God's authority over Christ in the flesh. Jewish nation honor God the Father, but not always his word. His word had come in the flesh as God with us(Emmanuel). God being with us in Spirit by his Holy Spirit and is God power working in our life as we yield to him, but his power is not ours to control, not even in heaven. Christ had all power to do the complete will of God as a man, yet as God's equal in heaven he had all authority but one to tell when he will return from heaven. God the Father knows that time. God crowned him with glory, with his anointing at his baptism, and the announcement of his coming at his birth. God crown him with power to do his will, because he was the same as God, in regards of following in perfection of his Father. Yet we see God walking with man in human form until the golden calf happened. Then God's Spirit instructed man only and his word. God no longer appearing as a man that could eat and drink with them.
Did God die, no he just would not appear as before to man, until his Son is born in the image of man and dwells with the people as he had done in the wilderness. Christ died, he rose again, showing his disciples he was alive, and the Holy Spirit of promise was given to man. And Christ appears to John, Peter, and Paul and to others including the first maryter Stephen. He has appeared to others. Yet these appearings are not to be sought out, because all you see is a human being not worthy to be worshipped as a God.
Authority of Christ honors God's Father while he is in the flesh and also in incorruptibility. He is the word of God after all that came in physical form to die for you and me, to show us he not going anywhere. He died for our sins, that separate us from God. Payment for our sin had to be made, but this provision was by God the Father. His forgiveness being availabe to each of us. Restitution no longer required by man. God the Father did all this as he gave us his word to accept and claim. His gift of love to us. That if we be his children, he would redeem us as his children and the eternal punishment of sin would no longer be ours to bear.
Dear Heavenly Father, you provided salvation, you provide your word to us that if we received both your word and your Son in the flesh, you would redeem us. You gave your Son all authority over all, and yet he laid down his life to reclaim it to grab hold and to be lifted up by your will for your word. Help us Lord to glorify you as you are the Father of us all. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
24 Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25 For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.
28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
Ephesians 1:16-23 KJV
16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Hebrews 2:5-11 KJV
5 For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak.
6 But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him?
7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
