Acts 10:1-8 KJV
There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.
5 And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:
6 He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.
7 And when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually;
8 And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to Joppa.

This morning as I meditate on the spread of the Gospels, if one studies the last chapter of Isaiah one can take note these very thing was prophesied about. From the coming of the gentiles to worship God to the coming sign of the Messiah, to the dispersement of the church all over the islands of the earth. To get the disciples prepared for the spread Jesus had minister to the Gentiles teaching about his Father, his word through parables, and the Holy Spirit. Yet God himself was preparing the gentiles that would listen through signs and wonders.

Cornelius was such a man who loved God gave money/alms and prayed. He reverent God. He was a Centurion of the Italian Band. God spoke to him by angel to go forth to Joppa and ask for Peter, and where he dwelt. An the angel told Cornelius, Peter would tell him what to do. Peter was an apostle of Jesus.

No doubt Cornelius understood the significant to detail the angel gave. It was enough for him to order several of his men to go seek Peter out.

God preparation comes with specifics as the signs of Christ coming, so is the coming of the Gospel message to the Gentile nation. Seek God as Cornelius did and God will provide with clear instruction. God wants to direct your faith in him He wants to direct your steps, will you let him today. Will you allow him to teach you his ways. Just open your heart today to God and his Son whose name is Jesus.

Dear Heavenly Father you ordained your people to go to all the Islands of the earth. Give us direction in sharing your word, in Jesus precious name, Amen.

19 And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentile.
