Unremovable Covering 07/25/2022
Daily Devotions: by Christina FarrisGenesis 6:14-16 KJV
14 Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.
15 And this is the fashion which thou s halt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
16 A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
A three story ark, with a removal covering, and yet that covering did not come undone til Noah took it off. Imagine a cocoon the size of and ark, a cocoon covered in pitch/tar. A cocoon that was made to protect the outside and inside of the ark. Pitch meaning the hebrew asphalt, ransom and more. This asphalt covered wood, often a reference concerning sin that had to be buried or destroyed. Now some are going to ask what are you speaking about. This is a simple story and instruction to Noah on how to build a ark of safety. If we look at this ark of safety, Noah went about building the ark as God instructed him to build it so that it was protected by the elements.
The first covering God gave man was a coat of skin from an animal, an animal whose blood had to be poured out to protect us from the elements of the earth. It would be something man would do over and over again so they would not be effected by the elements of the earth such as cold and even heat, like in the desert. Arabs wearing long outfits to protect themselves from the hot sun, and it being long flowing to allow air to cool their bodies. Americans clothes often tight fitting or extra layers for warmth and looser layers for cooling, or skimmy clothing in the summer heat. In some cultures in America in the heat men and women still wear long sleeves, hopefully out of cooler or lighter fabrics. Man learn over centuries what fabrics were better for comfort.
God man the ability to protect themselves from the dangers of this earth. Tornado alleys many homes with basements or cellars, and yet it not always proven protective. There is a point if God is able to teach us to protect ourselves from the elements of this world and his wrath, then there is some hope for all of us. Yet to get to heaven we need the ransom of Christ, the covering of Christ on our soul. We can not provide this ransom for ourselves even with good works. It is based on belief in Christ and his word from before Christ and after Christ to his second coming. We on this side of the second coming of Christ.
Noah built this ark justified by faith, with wood that was covered by pitch. Noah and his family enter the ark, God then sealed them in after all the animals were inside. God on the inside and outside the ark. God able to literally physically cover that ark with the remainder of the pitch. One has to wonder about being able to breath, but this ark was three stories high with one window. That one window was the only window in the whole ark. Noah opened that window to let the birds search for dry land after it rain 40 days and 40 nights. Then when land was discovered he removed the pitch off the top of the ark. Noah began to prepare to come totally out of the ark, no doubt birds were flying and travel and to and fro from the ark, before the door was open. Maybe a few jumping in the water that could swim and went to dry land, but Noah stuck still in the ark, until God told him to leave. Just imagining the process of coming out of the cocoon so to speak on the second month after landing on that dry land. Noah built an altar and gave an offering to the Lord and sacrificed several animals for this offering to the Lord.
As a chicken pecks his way out of a shell, it a process, just like with a catapillar coming out of a cocoon. Catepillar first eating the plant he put his cocoon on. The cocoon symbolizing in nature a time of hiberantion/burial. In the case of Noah and his ark, it was like coming forth as a new creation, one having the protection because he obeyed God's instruction and two the world was no longer the same. The pitch was the ransom or payment for the life of eight in the ark. Without that seal waves would of enter the ark. It the same type of pitch use on the basket Moses was placed in for his protection.
We have seal as a believer called the Holy Spirit. He is our protector and God's word and Christ is our protector as well. While on this earth we have to follow God on how to protect ourselves from the world we live in. By God's will we are protected. A day will come when man will walk through fire and not be hurt, and day the scorpions will come to bite those not sealed by the angels of heaven. Those with out the mark of the Holy Spirit will face harm and will be tormented during this time. Who is sealed with the HOly Spirit of promise, all that believe in Jesus. A mark that can not be removed.
One use to not be able to remove a tatoo, but now tatooes are removable, but not the mark of the Holy Spirit. If you were ever saved and seem to gone far from the path of hope, today is your day to turn to the Lord once more, for he paid a price for your ransom, but he paying a greater price for your backsliding. Meaning your backsliding is a testament against the power of God, and yet God' power to even turn your life around is possible by his word/ is saving grace, and the unremovable seal of faith. See even in your backsliding I bet you still believed in God the one element that his your part in faith. Turn from your wickedness and follow after Christ example today. Ask the Lord to refill you with the mark maker of your heart. To not only remind you of his grace but the hope of eternity with him.
Dear Heavenly Father Noah was given a new leash on life to worship and to honor you in his life. His life was not perfect for he got drunk, but with the psychological effects of all that happened, I have to ask who would not have gotten drunk. Lord you are able to keep your children sober when we choose you and follow your Spirit. That your wrath on the world will not shake us only remind us of your saving grace to all that believe. In Jesus precious name, Amen.

12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
